My issue with the games is that because each one is a different Universe you feel like you don't have a good development arc for the characters as each game is a reset. It felt like a cheap way to start a new game without writing around what you wrote or how you ended things in the last game.
It's a concept that's made the games overall story more confusing then it should be.

There are plenty of games to keep me busy through to 2020 so i'm good with no bayonetta and animal crossing. Still have a backlog of games on pc and switch to keep me going.
Platinum has to pace themselves accordingly
