"Arguably the biggest shake up surrounding E3 2019 was Sony’s decision not to host its own press conference this year. PlayStation is one of the three big platform holders in the video game industry and surely its absence will be felt when the show comes around."

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.
Sony wasn't the only major player who decided against E3 this year.
I will see all the third party games when they individually show up on YouTube after the conference is over. Not interested in what other platform holders have in store.
I'm not watching it live and i'll just wait for a wrap up from one of the news sites and choose which trailers to watch.
Edit: I'm also expecting sony to have a state of play video soon after the E3 maybe a few days to a week to get the last word in edgewise.
Really it seems like more of the same from me.
