Trust me console players, you do not want to play in the same court as keyboard-mouse users. If this was about Xbox/PS4 crossplay only, that'd be great. But I promise you, if you are a console player, you do not want to fuck around with the keyboard-mouse users. Ask anyone in the TitanFall2 community who uses controllers on the PC version.

all they have to do is give the option for keyboard and mouse on the xbox since we have games that support it.

I heard you have to opt-in in order to have cross play, that make sense, who in the right mind wants to face mouse and keyboard. I heard fortnite does cross play automatically if you use mouse and keyboard on console

What about dedicated servers?

I have friends with both consoles. I wonder if I can get a cross platform team going.

This will be a disaster, anyone who is good at this game will be branded a cheat/hacker/kbm player. And in about 10% of cases they'll be right.

It's funny it's all the PC players are desperate for cross-play. Most people that play on the console also just reading the comments below don't care about cross-play they just want to play people on console.
Since the PC is so much better why would you even want to play with people on xbox/Ps4 . The only reason is so you can either cheat or you can have like a 120 FPS and the console is capped at 60 fps so you still have an advantage

Also just type in Call of Duty PC servers and you see a lot of Call of Duty Games had low server counts way more people play on the console for Call of Duty specifically.

If you go look up articles CODWW2 servers were dead like a month or two after launch on PC.

Hopefully they have an option like rocket League where console players can disable playing with PC. That way it's there for the people that want it and it's turned off for the people that don't same goes for PC players maybe they don't want to play with console players there should be an option.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
