This is the most first party games Microsoft has ever had at an E3.
Just finishing our final E3 rehearsal here with the team in Redmond. Feel really good about the briefing. Lots to show. We have 14 Xbox Game Studios games in the show this year, more first party games than we

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Today, Koei Tecmo announced its financial results for the full fiscal year 2025, related to the period between April 2025 and March 2026.

Xbox boss Asha Sharma has discussed how component shortages will impact the company's plans for Project Helix.
This kind of proves this is an after thought product, most products like this are in r&d 5 years before they start mass producing. So they typically have the cost of components and things worked out long before assembly starts.
This is an assumption still, but I wouldn’t be surprised if project helix is similar to Scalebound, perfect dark and sod3. They had an idea but no actual execution other than concept stage. Being impacted by the ram shortage likely would also put this device 3-4 years out.
I’m not even sure MS has that endurance with Xbox yet
Helix is going to be stupidly expensive
Instead of leaning into smarter upscaling techniques they're brute forcing hardware that will cost them dearly and it remains to be seen if it's genuinely going to provide a meaningful differential
I know in the oc.doace people like to brag about not using frame gen or dlss to get to high on a game but for the majority of players they happily use those technologies without a second thought
That's going to be ps6 vs Helix
It's called systematic inflationary. Yes we get it Microsoft, keep raising in the name ofall kinds of stuffs
Honestly if there was thing I learned from this generation is that new consoles arnt day one anymore.
I can wait 1-3 years.
Off the top of my head the ones we know about could be:
Gears 5
Halo: Infinite
Gears: Tactics
Ori and the Will of the Wisps
Halo: MCC
Battletoads
The Outer Worlds (Does this count?)
Wasteland 3
I could be wrong here and it depends on how you interpret his comment but I don't think he's saying they're all 1st party. Could be 2nd party since he says 'Xbox Game Studios' which would be comparable to saying 'Sony Computer Entertainment'. So we could be seeing some games made by studios outside of their acquisitions. Also worth pointing out that there are only 12 studios under 'Xbox Game Studios' on their website so maybe they've got studios working on multiple projects.
With that said Hellblade was released 2 years ago so it's possible we could get a teaser for their next project, Playground Games is almost guaranteed to reveal something, The Initiative should have a teaser for something at this point but I'm not sure the other studios would be ready yet which is why I lean towards some of them being 2nd party.
Pure speculation but I estimate 6 games we've not heard about unless someone can name something that's slipped my mind. 5 if he's padding it and including Gears Pop! which is what you should expect them to do at this point.
10 more days!!!!!
14 titles means there will likely be a lot of teasers for next gen. I assume spencer is either referring to games published by Xbox Games studios or developed by Microsoft owned developers. The first party games I assume (or I’m confident) to be shown would be:
1. Halo Infinite (343i)
2. Gears 5 (The Coalition)
3. Gears Tactics (The Coalition)
4. Sea of Thieves expansion (Rare)
5. Minecraft Expansion (Mohang)-Multiplatform release
6. “Bleeding Edge” (Ninja Theory)
7. Outer Worlds (Obsidian) - Multiplatform Release
8. Wasteland 3 (InExile) - Multiplatform
9. The Initiative - Next gen teaser
10. Rumored Fable - Playground Games
2nd Party (MS owned but externally developed)
Ori 2, Battletoads and Age of Empires
I also don’t think Turn 10 will show anything.
If the Perfect Dark and MechAssault rumours are true, I wonder who the developers would be.
Cant wait to see what they have. Never got an x1 so hope they can convince me otherwise for next gen. Well...that is if these games also come to pc then probably not.
"We have 14 Xbox Game Studios games in the show this year, more first party games than we've ever had in the show."
Please let Playground Games' new RPG be one of them.
