Man, I can't believe this game is still a year off. Ah, well I hope they at least polish up the graphics a bit for the console versions. It's not a bad looking game but there's definitely room for improvement with some of the skin detail and hair. Animations could be smoother too from what I've seen of videos.

Street Fighter IV and some other fighting game should easily hold me over till this hits though.

robotnik6408d ago

They are taking ages to release this game, I wonder if its worth the wait.

thereapersson6408d ago

Looks like 360 gamers will have to buy an arcade stick if they want to play it right, as the d-pad really sucks a big one on the 360 controller.

After playing Tekken games for over a decade, I've become accustomed to the excellent responsiveness of the Playstation controller's D-Pad. I wouldn't play it on anything else.

Tarasque6408d ago

First off, i grown accustomed to play with the analog stick. As long as the controls are tight i can play better with a stick than the d-pad. And also i have a 3rd party controller with a great d-pad, But you thought you was being smart but failed miserably.

Better to have triggers with more functionality, than on and off bumper buttons found on the PS2/PS3. The Xbox/360 triggers allow you to lightly squeeze, middle to a hold. This allows the controller to be more user/developer friendly, somthing that can't be done with 4 bumpers on top.

Pennywise6408d ago

Jason, I knew we could count on you to be bias and pointless. Its all personal preference. We know yours, but it definitely is not everyone opinion

Mr_Bun6408d ago (Edited 6408d ago )

Yeah, 'cause "lightly squeezing" is completely relevant in Tekken.

Edit: Also the bumpers and the d-pad aren't analog (for the 360 controller), but all 4 "bumpers" and the d-pad for the PS3 controller are "which allows the controller to be more user/developer friendly"

Thanks for coming out though!!!

Ghoul6408d ago

jason fail !!!

the 360 has 2 clik bumpers and 2 triggers
the dualshock3 has 2 click bumpers and 2 triggers

its the same .....

MiloGarret6408d ago

Its the same amount, but its not the same type/kind/quality. Quantitative vs qualitative perceptions.

Getting this awesome game for my ps3 because of the d-pad alone, can't play it with the analog sticks.

Pennywise6408d ago

Jason, can we have the platter back?

La Chance6408d ago (Edited 6408d ago )

looks like youve never played Virtua fighet 5 , Soul Calibur 4 , Dead or Alive 4 with the 360 pad otherwise you wouldnt say that.

They all work perfectly with the 360 Dpad.

BTW I hope you wont have to buy a HDD to install the game on your PS3.

Im an old Tekken fan but lost my love for the game after Tekken 4.

Its cool I'll be able to get Tekken 6 on my XBOX 360.

Who would have believed....

RAF-TECH6408d ago

that tekken only has 4 main attacks?
You only need to use the face buttons of a controller... Not triggers.

Unless ofcourse...your a KING user...(cheater)

Bnet3436408d ago

Why do people of all of a sudden dismiss th analog stick on the 360 controller? That's what I play Soul Calibur IV with and it's fine. If I really wanted to play competitively I would of bought an arcade stick.

AAACE56408d ago

I will say that the 360 does have a terrible d-pad for fighting games, but honestly it doesn't matter to me cause there aren't many fighting games to be concerned about!

I played DoA 4, beat it with every character, and played some online from time to time. I didn't think about the d-pad too much throughout the process though.

ThanatosDMC6408d ago (Edited 6408d ago )

Maybe it works for Soul Cal but not for Tekken's intricate weird moves. just think of using King's Giant Swing. The chances of using the 360's analogue vs a d-pad on a controller will make your character jump.

It's be a different story if you actually buy the arcade version controller especially if you're used to playing with the big stick.

Btw, i'm a King whore... and low kicks add up.
