Code Vein is a bloody difficult game | Polygon

Colin Campbell: "Code Vein was originally scheduled to be released last September. Following its delay, the game still has no firm launch date. Publisher Bandai Namco will only say that it’s coming out for PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One “later this year.” At a media event last week, I played the game for a few hours. I found it to be an absorbing, challenging experience with a complex web of combat systems."

I'm hoping to hear more news & a hopefully soon release date.

DaDrunkenJester2489d ago

Code Vein will be at E3 so I'm expecting a release date for sure.

Asuka2489d ago

Glad to at least hear 'something' about this game since its delay because i was getting a little worried seeing as how we are almost halfway through the year. Can't wait!

You shouldn't have, Sekiro had to take the spotlight so CV was quitely worked on. Now that Sekiro's promotion is done CV's will start.

Edit: before someone points out the obvious, yes Sekiro is a From game and CV is Namco's but that doesn't change the fact that its marketed to the same exact group of people, so there's that.

After the whole Sekiro debacle, I don't trust game journalists when it comes to game difficulty...

What? No easy mode Polygon?

Spenok2489d ago

Don't worry, that article will come closer to actual release of the game xD

Code Vein Review | NoobFeed

Azfar from NoobFeed writes: Code Vein is a game that fans of complex RPGs, who also enjoy anime stories and customization, will appreciate. It doesn't replace Dark Souls, but it doesn't have to; it's a unique work of art in its own right.

Demon's Souls isn't Soulslike. It's the original Souls game. WTF? And Elden Ring?

Another Crab's Treasure simply is not.

All the journos claiming things are "Soulslike" simply don't know what that word means.

GeeEssEff384d ago

The term “Soulslike” has become ridiculously diluted. I have seen it used for games just because they are difficult.

Cacabunga384d ago

Reminds me of Doom like back in the days for every FPS game

blackblades384d ago (Edited 384d ago )

Yeah, souls, souls lite, souls like same goes for rogue.

anast384d ago

It's either AI or the writer doesn't know the subject matter.

robtion384d ago

I've played all of these bar the Crab one so not a very accurate title.

Goodguy01384d ago (Edited 384d ago )

Nioh 1+2 imo are the best souls clone. Love the melee combat and ki system, really hoping team ninja doesn't abandon the IP and continue with a new title, hell just give us your take on the western fantasy setting for a new nioh game.

robtion384d ago

Yes Nioh 2 in particular is great. Also Wo Long (which is basically Nioh 3).

qalpha384d ago

Should have included 'Lies of P'. Seriously fun game.

Nacho_Z384d ago

That's what I was going to say, great game. Best non From Soulslike I've played.

jznrpg79d ago

Lies of P and Wuchang Fallen Feathers are best soulsikes to me. I slightly prefer Wuchang ut they’re both awesome. I’d say Black Myth Wukong too but it’s a little more action than most souls games but it could fit in there as well.
