Is it time to just let Star Citizen development play out and see what happens? Nothing has changed in how it's being developed.

These guy are making the broadest scope and depth of any game of all time and people wanted to play it fully within a couple of years. Thank God rockstar doesnt listen to its fans either. The only difference is these guys have to keep the development in the public eye because its crowd funded and that alone adds immense pressure. Godspeed to Christ Robert's and Cloud Impirum

Yes, let it run it's course.

And slowly, people will be forced to admit that it isn't a 'ponzi scheme' or a 'fraud', as every year the game progresses a ton. Major milestones will be hit one after another. The game already holds incredible experiences you won't find anywhere else, and that is with half the fundamental mechanics and systems not working properly. That is with major gameplay loops missing from the game.

People can choose to believe that anyone who still supports SC or is excited for it is a brainwashed cultmember or something. Or, they can be a little more reasonable, and realize that some people like it because they really like it, including what CIG has put out, and what they've shown on future content.

"Star Citizen - It's Time To Let Development Run Its Course"

Is there anyone out there that ISN'T letting development run its course? Sure people are mad that development seems to be taking forever. It's currently already 5 years past what its expected launch date was going to be.

But still, who is holding them up from developing the game the way they want to? It seems to me like development is, and has been running its intended course, scam or no scam. So I'm a bit confused by this article.

Sure....since they raised close to a billion they don't even need to make a profit.

blacktiger42d ago

Well You know GTA 6 is like 2 billion dollar. So I don tknow why you trippin

jznrpg42d ago

But it’s not funded by players for over 13 years. And it will release before Star Citizen

blacktiger42d ago

what difference does it make, it's being funded while you are pissed off, money is money. Why do you have emotion?

Pergele42d ago

Did you know you are so stupid? Like it's almost funny

Azurite42d ago

The money is allocated between two games, most of it goes to Squadron 42.

Feels like when at the mall people stop you to give you free products and once you accept they won't stop to follow you until you buy the rest ..... F-DAT !

What, you don't want shoe cleaner that costs more than the shoe?

I do wish they'd release this for PS5 Pro at the very least. I've been craving a good realistic space exploration game since Frontier Developments stopped supporting ongoing updates for Elite Dangerous on consoles. I put a ton of hours into that game and then they just stopped console support when the Odyssey update came out. Pissed me off LOL. I guess I'll get back into No Man's Sky for the time being since there's a bunch of new stuff since I've last played.

I didn't even realise you had to pay. Who on earth is paying to play a game that is still in alpha over a decade on 😂

thorstein41d ago (Edited 41d ago )

"A decade?"

This started before No Man's Sky was announced.

2011. It's been a decade and a half.

Shameless plug for NMS: you can build all of Star Citizens' ships in NMS for free. The only difference is that one of these games has launched...a decade ago. And the new update allows you toto capture creatures and battle them in an arena.

It's still a giant money sucker fools and their money are soon parted.
