This game is harder than any other souls game. Its great

AnthonyDavis2451d ago (Edited 2451d ago )

It’s a fake souls game. All about timing and parrying. And canned animations when you do the parry.

Greg28012451d ago

Its actually way easier when you get used to the combat.

UltraNova2451d ago (Edited 2451d ago )

Its "easier" during the second playthrough because a) you now know how to play and what to expect b) the combat/movement speed is far far greater than any Soulsborne game, combined with the fact that you eventually learn how to play giving the illusion of the game being easier.

Demons souls is the hardest and by far the most punishing of them all.

Edit: I'll say this though, Father Owl (Hirata) is one of, if not the hardest boss From Software has ever made. This guy is the definition of Masochism.

pyroxxx2451d ago (Edited 2451d ago )

@Ultra,.. I find the final boss harder,.. (but then again I won OWL2 with basically no mistakes,.. so,.. It is either perfect it or die,..)
Sometimes I think this dame is a bit too punishing for it's own good,.. Like loosing all xp for one mistake,.. and actually having to too really long fights and not even having a chance to learn all the movesets on differen phases and patterns, because you die so quickly, Special moves and using prosthetic cost way too much to have fun using them willy nilly,..

Replayability is also very questionable,...

When it clicks you feel like a badass though,..

UltraNova2451d ago

Pyro,

I find Ishin a little bit easier than Father Owl 2, mainly because I managed to learn his entire moveset in all phases whereas FO2's frickin arsenal of moves and on the fly reaction to any move Sekiro makes renders him an exercise in exhaustion, unless like you said, you manage to be perfect during the long fight, admittedly a tall order...

SpinalRemains1382451d ago

Correct. Though, timed and exacting, the deflecting is a way to destroy anything. In Bloodborne you roll and whack. Sekiro goes from the hardest to the easiest.

Nah, you all just summoned, cheesed or had an op build. Sekiro is waaay easier than Dark Souls 1 and Nioh and rewards you for great timing unlike the dumb ass invincibiility frames when rolling or just holding ur shield up.

galmi2451d ago

I believe dark souls 1 is alot harder than this

pyroxxx2451d ago (Edited 2451d ago )

Maybe lvl 1 type of thing runs,.. but if you want to,.. you can grind in DKS and BB as much as you want,.. ( I have a character in Bloodborne probably around level 300) basically 1hit kill everything,..
Here,.. not so much,.. power level helps a bit,.. but you can get 1 shot on NG++ from just about every boss hit.
Yep this game is harder in a way,.. and not in git gud,.. it is git perfect type of a game. (Really wish I could level up health beyond what you get from mini bosses in NG in NG+ at least) Really never felt powerful.

Anyone who tells you this game is not hard,.. is lying,.. (It is pretty damn challenging) you die like a pro.

Been taking my sweet time with Sekiro, just killed the 2 apes & now soon off to face Owl.

DaGR8JIBRALTAR2451d ago

I stopped at the Ashina Castle assault to concentrate on Days Gone but I think I'll hop back on it this weekend.

Latex742451d ago

Me too just not at the weekend

SpinalRemains1382451d ago

Oh man please do. Sekiro is too fun and must be finished.

DaGR8JIBRALTAR2451d ago

How many more mini bosses are in the castle that I can get prayer beads from before I fight the Owl?

Yeah but tbh, the hit boxes on the grab attacks are still off. This is my only real gripe with the game. Apart from that it's excellent. It's actually not that hard once you are able to figure out what shinobi attacks you're supposed to be using against which enemies. If you use only standard attacks you will really struggle.

Ceaser98573612451d ago

Its my 45th Platinum, got it last saturday,.. One of the best plat ever.. Totally loved it..

Greg28012451d ago

Really did not like the 'Get all Skills' trophy since you had to grind for some time for it. But still a very enjoyable platinum to get.

AnubisG2451d ago

I hate trophies like that and also many fromsoftware game trophies where you have to collect rings and weapons. Absolutely pointless to beat a game multiple times just to collect a ring or weapon, armor....

Ceaser98573612451d ago

NG + or more gets you tons of skills points. I did a lot at Gun fort and then post killing the dragon at ashina outskirts stairways

don't pay for this streaming platform, just do some research and find free streaming elsewhere. they took money after I canceled

This looks cool, but there's something off about the art. It looks like they added sketchy lines to make it look gritty instead of making it look gritty.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Review

NoobFeed editor Ahnaf Tajwar writes - FromSoftware cooked up one of the best combat systems with Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and never did anything like it again. That may be a good thing, as it makes this game one of a kind. If you are a fan of Souls games or a borderline masochist, you will, without a doubt, love Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice because it is a masterpiece. It is a must-play for all hardcore gamers.
