Mozilla had a big month as Firefox is closing in on the 20% market share mark. Microsoft's Internet Explorer continues to lose share.
Firefox has been playing with the 20% market share mark for some time now. Back in July we reported that the browser has begun jumping over 20% on several days and this trend has solidified since then. In October, Firefox' average market share as measured by Net Applications was 19.97%, up 0.51 points from 19.46% in September.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Spiders: "We're going to cut straight to the chase so you're not left wondering: After a long period without clear answers, we have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated.
What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.
We're sorry that it's come to this and would like to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years.
If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."

Anyone tried or trying Mozillas new "Minefiled" browser (still in alpha stage)?
I've been using it for a while and it's working great and super fast, want to give it a spin? >
For windows:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/... Then click "firefox-3.1b2pre.en-US.w in32.installer.exe" which is the second from the bottom. Just download and install as usual.
Or:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/... Then click "firefox-3.1b2pre.en-US.w in32.zip" No install required, just run directly from the folder.
Mac/Linux:
Same link, just use the appropriate downloads.
I never would download Foxfire. I figured I would give it a shot when 3.0 released. I LOVE IT. Havent used IE except for some sites(that I have to).
Firefox 3 was awesome once I got the plug ins to make it look and act like FF2
