I think you have a sensitivity problem if you can't find the mute button.

Veneno2541d ago

Its clear as day that you dont play Seige cuz you would know what is being talked about. you have nothing to contribute. just hush.

TK-662541d ago

Name another online game with teamkill mechanics that has no problem with griefers. Educate me seeing as I don't know what is being talked baout.

sinspirit2540d ago

@Sw33tBoi

You should name one of those games that also has the same game mechanics and structure for multiplayer modes. People run into crossfire and get team killed often. It happens. That's why one teamkill isn't going to kick the griefer. The real issue is that these griefers are never alone in queue and pick one person to team kill so they essentially get team killed every time they spawn and they take advantage of the game mechanics set in place so players aren't penalized for accidents.

The mute button isn't the fix.

For anyone that actually takes the time, you can send a screenshot to ubisoft support of the username if they are typing inappropriate comments, or if you actually screencap multiple teamkills by them and their friends, but that's a bit more difficult.

TacoTaco2541d ago

Why should the onus *always* be placed on the people receiving the shit talk instead of the people dishing it out?

It's awful on Siege, I played one match and was cursed at and put up for voting out just because on my *first* time playing I picked a bundled character.

Hungryalpaca2541d ago

Because people are allowed to use their voice?

You have a choice to not listen. You don’t have a right to make them not speak.

Prubar2541d ago (Edited 2541d ago )

How will muting prevent players from booting for no reason or team killing for the heck of it? Does me picking the character you want warrant you to team kill me?

Zenbaby3692541d ago

It's pretty crazy. Everyone talks about how they're allowed to use their voice etc. But the kids that talk the most wouldn't do so in public regardless of their "right". Yes you have a right to use your voice. No you do not have the right to bully or verbally abuse other people. You should treat online communities the same as public settings. These kids just don't get it. It isn't about freedom of speech, it's about everyone else having the right to not be harassed.

TK-662541d ago (Edited 2541d ago )

Because this problem can be fixed by literally clicking a single button. You're not in any sort of unique situation that none of us have been in, and the rest of us handle it nice and easily by simply hovering a cursor over the players user name and muting them. Tell me why this isn't enough for you and what your solution is?

TacoTaco2540d ago

How old are you guys such that the mere suggestion of players being less jerks equates to taking away their "right" to speak in online games?

Muting solves nothing when a vote gets put in to boot me from the game.

Veneno2540d ago

You can educate yourself by actually playing the game that is being talked about for the months and years the rest of us have. If you knew anything about this topic you would absolutely know what is going on. But you don't. You have no clue. You spout nonsense and think you are worth something by putting us all down.

Seriously just take this as a lesson to not spout garbage on something you know nothing about. Better luck next time...

So do all online games.

My friend used to play this game and he's normally the kind of guy to dish it right back out to people and not let it ruin his time with the game but he has forever cursed this game because of the toxicity. For him to drop out of a game is pretty significant.

Hungryalpaca2541d ago

Sounds like he doesn’t know how to use the mute button

Sgt_Slaughter2540d ago

Sounds like you don't know how to let this go, since this isn't the first comment of this kind you've replied to. Oh how I wish this site still had the bubble system that either increased or decreased your comment limit. It would stop trolls like yourself from spamming.

Hardiman2541d ago

That's why I pass on most of these.
