Guaranteed legendaries/ rewards aren't new to these types of games, but at least the kid is trying to help make this game much better.

Spenok2622d ago (Edited 2622d ago )

This is a terrible idea... LOL

Yep. Let's just have everything handed to us because we're too lazy to work for it ourselves. Yep, that's how the world works!

Well... I guess that's how it works for the socialist/communists.

DarkKaine2622d ago (Edited 2622d ago )

Depends how bullshit the rates are. If it's anything like Path of Exile's I stay the hell away from it. RNG is never fun.

I used to be all about grinding until I developed a brain and realized those thousands of hours could have been spent on new experiences rather than killing the same enemies over and over in one single game - for hardly any reward whatsoever.

raWfodog2622d ago

Yeah I was just getting ready to say that I don't like the idea of getting a powerful weapon just for showing up. That's the problem with people today who think they should be given things without putting in work. Instead, how about guaranteeing a much higher chance at a very powerful weapon after completing a series of harder missions. People will appreciate it that much more when/if they finally get it.

Jimboms2621d ago

I mean that's just a different version of what this kid is saying, so I agree but you're point is no different.

raWfodog2621d ago

@Jimboms

Yeah...I was agreeing with him. That WAS my point. What are you talking about?

Rude-ro2622d ago

Because the rarity, the number, AND, the rolls makes it beyond lack luster while all you do is contracts and strongholds while dealing with DAILY game crashing.
Even if they took the kids idea of a guranteeed legendary drop each week, you could actually be handed nothing due to duplicates and bad rolls...
The only purpose legendaries have is to make grand master 3 bareable to do.
There is no grand reward for having legendary gear. No advantage for pvp or “worlds first” in some grand game designed content...
It is the exact same thing. Over and over.

bigboi2122622d ago

guess no one actually read the posts. he's saying make it like The Division 2. weekly challenges that net you a guaranteed Legendary. not just show up and get one.

Jimboms2621d ago

Well it's one a week, Destiny 2 gives you several if you just play the correct amount of games in each mode. I don't think it's as bad as you're making it out to be

a 9 year old. this tells a lot about the target group of such games and why i stay the frag away.

TK-662622d ago

"why i stay the frag away."

Good boi Jimmy. No swearing in the internet while mommy is watching over you

Jimboms2621d ago

This kid was watching his dad play, did you even read the article before making this comment? Come on mate make the effort a little.

drunkenspy0072621d ago (Edited 2621d ago )

If everyone gets one a week, where is the value of rare items?

Jimboms2621d ago

Explain the value of rare items in Destiny 2 and you'll have answered your own point

Could Anthem live on? Tech allowing local server hosting existed, former executive producer says

BioWare's multiplayer shooter Anthem was terminated this week because EA no longer wanted to maintain servers for people to play the game on, and without them, no one can play the game. But the former executive producer of Anthem has revealed that BioWare had technology working, close to the game's release, that would enable us to host our own servers to play the game on.

EA/Bioware should allow us to host our own servers to let this game live on.

I'd be fine just playing it as a localhost and dumb as rocks AI bots. Just give me the choice.

Anthem Players Report Download Errors A Week Before Shutdown

BioWare and EA had previously said the game would be accessible to those who owned it until it shuts down on January 12.

Never buy online games unless there is some kind of refund policy.

Only days remain before EA will switch off the servers to BioWare's ill-fated multiplayer game

Time flies (like a Javelin suit): there are only 10 days left to play BioWare's ill-fated multiplayer game Anthem before the servers are switched off, presumably forever.

In my opinion, Anthem was a good IP that was worthy of a no man's sky or cyberpunk 2077 treatment.

To this day, their sub reddit is active and I was able to get into a game quickly a few weeks ago when I booted it up.

It is a shame EA and Bioware didn't want to give the game the overhaul it needed to turn it into a competent looter shooter.

GamerRN141d ago

They were close to releasing the overhauled version and then EA cancelled it

TheGamersDojo139d ago

I wholeheartedly agree. If ANY game deserved to get the rework/relaunch it deserved it was this one. More than literally any other. Even over FFXIV, No Mans Sky etc.

SlothLordPootus141d ago

I just finished this up a couple days ago. Although it's a bit repetitive and the story is meh, the game feels great to play. Even if you can only hop on the game for a couple hours before it shuts down, I think it's worth it.

chicken_in_the_corn141d ago

Really enjoyed this. Shame to see it go.

Software_Lover141d ago

I didnt know servers were still up. I could have been playing!!!

2nd comment attempt (1st doesn’t appear & this may register as duplicate):

They can spend billions to buy or get bought but they can’t spend a fraction of that to fix or overhaul a game that could have been truly special, smh.
