Oh well...imo the game was hot!!!

Going to buy DMCV at one point, liked the first the most, though. Third was an ok game, but I played the first through thrice, compared to 3 and 4 which I just played once.

Meh, I'll take this with a grain of salt. Everything that has been reported on in the past suggests the opposite of this actually. It was Itsuno that wanted to work on projects other than the DMC series after 4 (Dragon's Dogma anyone?).Itsuno himself has stated a couple of times that he actually liked the game and wanted to do a DmC sequel but ultimately didn't. Not only that there are several things in DMC 5 that are directly inspired by DmC (all though some will refuse to admit it).

Itsuno probably was fed up with Capcom about "something" but I doubt things went down exactly as Reuben Langdon says.

Didn’t play DmC. But DMC5 is absolutely amazing.

I'm glad to see Itsuno stand up for himself against dumb Capcom executives.
Itsuno is the only man that can lead this series after Kamiya started it.
If you stand for nothing, you fall for everything.
Makes me want to support Itsuno even more in the future!

I'm not surprised with how garbage that game was.

So he wanted to leave because someone else made a better Devil May Cry game then he could ever do. Also contradicts what he said himself when he said he loved DmC. Not really going to take the word of a voice actor

DmC got good reviews, it was a very good game (haters gonna hate) and it's also liked by hideaki itself, so stop being edgy by hating on DmC.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.

Is this like the 10th quarter in a row they're down 33% on hardware how is that even mathematically possible. You would think their mediocrity would Plateau
