Jacob St-Amour from Link-Cable Writes: "BioWare has always been known to have been the go-to developers for action RPGs. From their work on the spectacular Mass Effect trilogy, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic as well as the many titles in the Dragon Age franchise, all have been met with renown success stories of the last decade. While their latest projects may not have lived up to the potential of their previous works, BioWare is still regarded as one of the best developers in the business and will most likely find a way to bounce back from the shortcomings of both Mass Effect: Andromeda and Anthem. Many of us are eagerly waiting for their next entry to the Dragon Age project, however, there is a forgotten cult-classic entry that BioWare should consider bringing back after a fifteen years absence and that is with none other with the Jade Empire series."

With the PS5 offering Demon's Souls, here's some dormant franchises that should be brought back for the Xbox Series X|S.

GB: "It does seem that with BioWare being in the spot that they are, where their last two major releases haven’t exactly lived up to expectations, perhaps a big shift in direction is just what the doctor ordered to inject themselves with a new surge of energy and start to turn the page just in time for the new decade. It’s tough to say at this point, but with the Jade Empire trademark being suspended as of April of last year, I wouldn’t suggest anybody start holding their breath for anything major for this game just yet."
You should be asking where their talent went first
Spoilers most of them left the company already
They've addressed this before, Microsoft owns the IP and its upto them but its better to leave it then make a sequel. The OGs have a new studio and are working on a Sci-Fi game for next gen
They're to busy trying to keep Anthem alive and I doubt EA will fire up an old ip. And on top of that if they did make the game it will probably be as bad as ME Andromeda since most of the talent is gone now leave it to EA to wreck a good company.

Player 2's Matt Hewson looks at five games from his past that seem to have been forgotten by the masses and perhaps deserve a second look.
Couldn't agree more. Went to play Jade Empire on my 360 but the console was dead -_-. Would love a sequel or remaster so I can play on my PS4. Loved that game.
Jade Empire: Battle Royale.

And here is the problem. People defended Bioware when Andromeda came out saying it was their "B team" and not their main most talented studio. If Anthem is a fair reflection of their talented studio, then the Bioware we know and love is dead. I'd love to see a new Jade Empire too but not from this Bioware and certainly not with EA breathing down their necks, it'll just get EA'd up.
Said no one ever - time to grow up lads, some things aren't meant to resurrected.
Not under EA and not with this Bioware. It'll be grinding, with microtransactions, forced multiplayer and subpar story.
Jade Empire was like a fun, exotic fairytale, they'll turn it into some clean, inclusive, distilled money-making machine with transformation styles locked behind DLC or griding, with "social hub", super-light RPG elements, unnecessary crafting and other trendy things.
