Activision won't be sending out early Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice review copies

You're probably not going to see many reviews ahead of the launch of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice later this month.

Bluemaster772507d ago

Wow I had no idea activision was publishing this

Nitrowolf22507d ago (Edited 2507d ago )

And of course we’re going to see some real salty reviewers over not getting the game early

The game looks like it’s going to be good because it’s essentially a from software game, But who knows at the same time there could be a reason for not sending copies, like it’s to short or something

_SilverHawk_2507d ago

Lol. I wonder what most people will do without knowing what others thinks about a game. I'll be buying this day one no matter what others say just like I know days gone is a first day buy.

Bluemaster772507d ago

Yea... hopefully people can remain unbiased as the game looks really original and good. Too bad its attached to a loathed publisher.

n1kki62507d ago (Edited 2507d ago )

It's most likely because they don't need traditional games media any more. Who cares what IGN or Game Informer thinks any more? We can wait for footage and decide for ourselves day 1. I find viewing streams or a giant bomb quick look to be far more beneficial than the word vomit most of these websites spit out as a review. Large media sites barely have competent writers, let alone people that are actually willing or know how to write and review critically.

Nitrowolf22507d ago

IDK the reason, but we will still probably see early reviews since Fromsoftware is self publishing in Japan so they handle the codes there

NapalmSanctuary2507d ago

@Silverhawk You can't blame someone for wanting to read /watch reviews before buying a game. $60 dollars is not chump change.

Phi395822507d ago

No doubt that it will be a great game being from From....that length point that you make has me a bit scared. They are used to making a slow game, wonder if the faster gameplay of this one makes it a short play

indysurfn2507d ago (Edited 2506d ago )

First thing I thought of was micro transactions. So I look it up and they say NO PLANS for them.
(just like STAR WARS HAD NO PLANS INITIALLY FOR THEM)
"no plans" .. to include micro transactions. hello warning sign. I hope since it is from FROM it
actually means it this time.....wait published by who? Salt pleasel....pass the salt.

Even multiple console launches have used these EXACT same words. And then surprised people.
I hope I'm wrong (some how)

Saying: "NO PLANS" does not mean anything with legal consequences.

How many times on earth will people fall for this trick?

indysurfn2506d ago

Wait what? Some of you guys have not seen game play footage? here is 40 minutes worth of it.

Stanjara2507d ago

Yeah, I totally forgotten about this. Crap!

ziggurcat2507d ago

It's From, and Miyazaki, though... I think it' going to be a very solid game, and I can't wait to play.

Christopher2506d ago

Well, glad Adam Sessler isn't reviewing games professionally anymore at least.

Kostche2507d ago

good, sick and tired other people getting play it before gamers

thatguyhayat2507d ago

And leaking the whole thing online. Some jack*ss posted a final boss of Devil May Cry5 with a title spoiling the whole lot.

Redrex70002507d ago

lmao i already seen the whole game of devil may cry cuz of leaks
so... cant blame them for this approach

Baza2507d ago

Yup this came across my recommended videos. I was like WTF.

TK-662507d ago (Edited 2507d ago )

Yup it's showing up in my Youtube feed and it's pissing me off. Never before have I ever been tempted to false flag someone but this really pushed me. Irritates me to this day that YouTube hasn't implemented a spoiler tag for videos.

Codedan2507d ago

Feel the same way about movies? How about game testers?

thedr9042506d ago

Just so you know, reviewers are gamers too.

Day 1 buy, going in as blind as possible. The only thing I've watched about this has been the E3 reveal trailer.

Tapani2507d ago

Same here, saw some gameplay, but trying hard to forget it. It was enough to pre-order the game, though!

isarai2507d ago

Word, they keep uploading bosses to youtube and i keep ignoring them like the plague

stefd752507d ago

shame i wanted reviews before it came out so i knew if to preorder it cheaper. I just hope the preorder price is still around post launch

Rambokind2507d ago

The game will be awesome. Preorder away.

stefd752507d ago

you say that but it might not be

don't pay for this streaming platform, just do some research and find free streaming elsewhere. they took money after I canceled

anast148d ago

This looks cool, but there's something off about the art. It looks like they added sketchy lines to make it look gritty instead of making it look gritty.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Review

NoobFeed editor Ahnaf Tajwar writes - FromSoftware cooked up one of the best combat systems with Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and never did anything like it again. That may be a good thing, as it makes this game one of a kind. If you are a fan of Souls games or a borderline masochist, you will, without a doubt, love Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice because it is a masterpiece. It is a must-play for all hardcore gamers.
