Would hero preferences improve Overwatch matchmaking? Blizzard doesn’t thinking so

Overwatch players have long pushed for a hero-preference system for matchmaking, but Blizzard doesn't seem too enthusiastic about the idea.

How did this title get approved!!!!! LMAOL WHAT!!!!!! "Blizzard doesn't thinking so"

I'd rather not be punished for doing my role but still lose a ton of SR due to my team.

Last night as Moira, gold Elims, gold objec kills, gold object time, gold healing (around 7k as second support)

Yet I lose 25 SR. The tanks weren't on the objective protecting the DPS and support, so the DPS were dropping like flys and not getting picks, meaning the support wouldn't last much longer, meaning staggering spawns.

Despite being told "group up" the tanks still went off on their own.

Yet again, I lose a big chunk of SR.

Edit :

I'd like to see a new SR loss and gain system. Something like this

Win +25 SR
Loss - 25 SR

Medals either enhance or decrease that with a + 5/3/1 SR for a medal.

So for example you lose a match - 25SR but you have 4 gold medals that's a total of + 20SR meaning the loss is now just 5SR.

You could have it that the other medals don't count unless the one major to your role is gold. So for example my team loses, I'm a healer and have gold Elims and Object time but silver healing, or even bronze. I only get a reduction of the SR from the silver medal. Because I haven't done my role, so my gold Elims reduction doesn't come into play.

Nintendo Switch 2 Drops Must-Play Free FPS You Can Enjoy From Today

In 2023, developed by Blizzard Entertainment, Overwatch 2 was released, which was basically a big, glorified update of the original game that launched in 2016. Now, it’s simply reverted to being called just Overwatch, which is probably for the best.

The second iteration of Overwatch was released on the original Nintendo Switch, and while it’s still an enjoyable game with cross-play/progression functions, it’s still lacking in terms of performance and visuals, compared to its PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S counterparts. Well, it was.

As of today, the second iteration of Overwatch is natively available on the Nintendo Switch 2, just in time for Season 2: Summit.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Overwatch will have increased resolution both in handheld and docked modes, enhanced textures and lighting, up to 60 frames-per second, improved audio and more.

Blizzard is readying a patch to address the issue that the game is still running in Switch 1 build and just 30 fps.

Neonridr72d ago

you'd think they'd test it before pushing it live, lol.

that being said, clearly it's not running as intended.

They know it for sure. Maybe they didn't finish optimizing the game by the targeted release date. That's why they released the Switch 1 30fps version first. XD
