I personally really enjoyed it. Is it as good as the trilogy? No. Definitely not. But it was a really solid game, with some good ideas. I went into it with no hype after reading reviews and comments, and it far exceeded my expectations.

Many things could have been done better, or differently. But I still found a lot to love and enjoy about the game, as flawed as it may be. If you haven't played it, I'd suggest picking it up if you see it for $20 or so.

Getting past the obvious bugs which were patched, the game was good. It set up a at least a couple games in the andromeda universe. They completely lost me though when they said they wouldn't support it with single player DLC but did support the multiplayer aspect.

You get to your new home world and you can't explore it? That represents a lot of what andromeda was, a setup for more later. But now later isn't coming anytime soon and I fear it's too late now.

It's ok to enjoy these types of games and write about it but don't go around promoting this type of practice.

I enjoyed it. It's the only game in the series that I played all the way through.

Well Andromeda is more of a Bioware game than Anthem for sure.

ME:A was just an average game, but what made it seem so bad was that it was made by Bioware and it was part of a huge franchise.

It’s not the worst game I played by a long shot, but the problem is its predecessors are just so much better. We expected better from a sequel to an amazing trilogy of games, especially when making the jump to current gen systems.

Bioware has been on a steady decline and has worsen with the acquisition from EA, Dragon Age Inquisition was ok but they have gotten worse with each subsequent release. The Mass Effect trilogy was leagues better than anything they have done since. To each their own if you like Andromeda but you can't deny that the quality of their games has gone down.

I finished it. My biggest problems were the blandness, lack of interesting characters, and the Asari all being ugly for some reason. It's the most average game I've ever played.

Just picked it up for 10 usd. I'm about to see for myself.

It’s like going out with three really hot chicks then going out with an average looking chick. The average looking chick isnt bad at all but compared to the others it might be a letdown. Mass effect 1 thru 3 are classic games that truly deserved all the awards they won. Andromeda on the other hand just didn’t live up to the first 3. It was just an average looking chick.

I have been gaming solid since 1984 and I have never, ever been more disappointed in a game than I was in Mass Effect: Andromeda. The story, the characters, the setting, the "labyrinth dungeons".... everything. They took my favorite franchise of all time and annihilated it. Never forget.

Played it after the bugs were patched, and i actually liked it. Granted it was way after release and my expectations were very low. The gameplay was solid, and they expanded the exploration a lot. But for people that played the original trilogy, the story is very meh, they introduce only 2 new races, and left out quarians when tali is one of the most beloved characters of the original trilogy.

Still in my backlogue the demo was fantastic will play it soon

I think gamers were absolutely right about Mass Effect Andromeda.

It's not just about the game, I am amazed how accurately they have predicted degradation of Bioware. They actually posted so many concerns about coming Anthem based on what they saw in ME:A. All of them are turned out to be real.

Anthem is a product of lazy developer and brain-less publisher, has no heart and soul. ME:A was warning I didn't take it seriously.

Back then no, but they worked a lot of it post-launch. I stopped playing at launch but i recently played it and loved it, there are no other games like it, the start is a bit dull, and stay away from voeld as long as you can until youir car is upgraded and i promise you will have a very enjoyable time. I would say that it was one of my favorite gaming experiences in my 28 or so years of gaming.

If people are saying Andromeda is good now that Anthem is out, I shudder to think how bad Anthem is.

Of course it's not as good as the first trilogy but it doesn't mean Andromeda is bad at all. I agree it was really unpolished in some areas but I still liked it a lot. It's definitely not a bad game as most people seem to want to make it out to be.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it. I still recommend it to those I meet which are fans of the originals. It had a lot of issues but I liked it better than 3. In fact 3 is now my least favorite when I reflect on my time with the four games over all.

Imho it was, at best, slightly above average when you take all parts of the game into account. It was a very uneven game though so I certainly wouldn't say it was above average right across the board. I couldn't enjoy it enough to finish it, let's put it that way.

So, given that individual opinions are all subjective, I'd only say people may have been wrong if they tried to say that the consensus was that the game was 'great' or 'utter, unplayable trash'; it was 'meh' and nothing close to as good to the original trilogy.

It's not terrible, just doesn't live up to the legacy of it's predecessors.

Oddly, for all the feedback taken by the so called Bioware B team, they seem to have done a much better job in many respects with Andromeda in the 18 months it took to put out what was released then what Bioware's A team did in 6 years with Anthem. The game has a character creator that's completely pointless, meaningless and simplistic dialogue "choices," infuriating core systems, and on and on.

I didn't get around to playing Andromeda till a year or so after it released and it was a decent game if not for all the bugs when it came out I think it would have been better received. Unlike some other recent releases it has a great foundation for a game but was marred by technical issues.

I thought the ME Legendary Edition was better then Andromeda. I tried to get into Andromeda but I just couldn't get into it I was bored.

Personally, it's like Veilguard, I liked it.... Would I say it was on par with the Mass Effect Trilogy? No. Now, with the Veilguard , to me, it's better than Dragon Age 2, but not on par with Origins or Inquisition.

I think it was honest trailers that compared it to a direct to dvd sequel rather than a new feature film. That is honestly exactly what it felt like to me.

Im.actually playing mass affect 1 this time around, the legendary edition, its so in depth. Dialogue is so good, I never dived deeper througly b4 and I will be playing mass effect 2&3 the same. I also been playing adromeda sure it's not better than the trilogy but I been enjoying it for what it is. I used to avoid adromeda but I decided to give it a try, don't regret it. Still tho there's nothing like the OG trilogy tho🔥 atleast MEA is better than saints row 2022🤣🤷🏾 ;‍♂️

The game was great so long as you skipped the dialogue and story. The open world and combat was awesome. Some of the environments and towns were great. It was the characters, the writing and story that ruined it.

i played it a couple years ago for the first time. and thats after all the updates etc.

it looks really good and the combat is fun, however everything else is not as good as the og trilogy.

ME Andromeda had the same issue Dragon Age 2 did, they followed on from something infinitely better. On their own they were fine games (except Andromeda on launch was an absolute embarrassment) but compared to what came before they didn't stand a chance.

Oh, I don't doubt it. Bioware probably thinks that Veilgard is a masterpiece with 10/10 writing. It's actually sad. Bioware bled talents throughout the years and now there no good devs left. Only those who were hired to fill diversity quotas. I have no faith in ME4.
