Fortnite has lifting the pinging mechanic from Apex Legends as part of day one for season 8.

The crossover event has a date of March 10th and a trailer.

So they (poorly) copied the ping system, and they're also considering copying the respawn ability. It hasn't even been 4 weeks since Apex came out.
First they take the snowboard from ring of elysium, now the ping from apex. Thats just lame
Fortnite is going to be playing catch up for a while. Apex made Fortnite look like a glorified beta.
Fortnite will take anything not nailed down.
How dare Epic Games disrespect the players of other games by bringing highly popular and recommended game mechanics of those other games to their own game for the sake of their own players happiness.
Seriously. Why you got to be butt-hurt over this? If you're an Apex fan this will have ZERO effect on your game. It will affect you in NO way possible, whatsoever. Chill out. You'll survive this. Everything will be okay.
