weird, or lame, as it may be, the developer made enough off the first one to still be in business and merit a sequel, so I guess some people out there liked the first one LOL

Thought its not possible for anyone to come up with something weirder than Kojima

Hungryalpaca2625d ago

Kojimas stuff isn’t that weird.

G3ng4r2624d ago

Uh, yes it is. Kojima clearly recieved no attention from his parents further evidenced by all the articles about his favorite movies, foods, drawings and other completely game-unrelated things.

Guy treks abandoned wasteland hauling bodies and packages while wearing hazmat suit, invisible hand prints liter the floor in real time, guy connects robotic flappy light arm to detect invisible things, invisible things pull other people into tar portals while rapidly aging them to death, guy has baby in a jar, guy attaches baby jar to umbilical cord attachment thingy on his suit, jar baby lights up and comes to life, the ruckus summons giant tar humanoid with no head and cut off hands that have tentacles coming out of the stumps, giant explodes, now guy has the baby inside his digestive track and he doesn't even know it, wakes up naked covered in hand prints...

Lust from Beyond Review (The Gamers Lounge)

Lust from Beyond is a successor to Lust for Darkness in more ways than one as it's not only much more polished and refined than its predecessor, but also a bigger, deeper, and dare I say more *fleshed* out game as a whole. While the narrative isn't as strong or consistent as Lust for Darkness due to its change of characters through its chapters and back and forth between its real and erotic dimensions, the vast environments give much more flavor to Lust from Beyond's setting and makes it much more enjoyable to explore and play through, with a few collectibles hidden throughout and enough puzzles to keep things engaging and the brain stimulated.

Review - Lust from Beyond (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Jordan Hawes: "I’ll be honest, I actually enjoyed this much more than I was expecting. I know you’re looking at the score and confused by this statement, but I initially thought this was going to be some cheap smut to earn a quick buck off horny gamers. Cough, Agony, Cough. There is actually a decent amount of effort put in here even if it all didn’t land well with me. I did really enjoy the sections with Lusst’ghaa and the erotic sex parts didn’t seem over the top. In fact, the gore sections are what I thought could be toned down on. A lot of those sections felt like forced shock value and that type of horror doesn’t gel with me as well. Lust from Beyond has some good ideas and didn’t stick to only a walking sim or only a full blown erotic game. I wouldn’t recommend it for general audiences, but if you’re into this genre then you’ll likely get some pleasure from it."

Lust from Beyond Review: It's Time to Get Romantic - KeenGamer

KeenGamer: "Since its first appearance on Kickstarter, Lust from Beyond drew the attention of horror fans with bold sexual themes. The trailers, which left little room for imagination—lecherous bodies, ready to offer themselves with screams of pleasure—gave the impression of a simple desire of hype. Now, let's find out if Movie Games met the expectations of its donors."
