DSOGaming writes: "Anthem has just been released and while it’s one of the most beautiful games today on the PC, we can confirm that it was downgraded and it’s not looking as incredible as its E3 2017 trailer. And below, you can find a video that compares these two builds and shows the graphical differences between them."
BioWare's multiplayer shooter Anthem was terminated this week because EA no longer wanted to maintain servers for people to play the game on, and without them, no one can play the game. But the former executive producer of Anthem has revealed that BioWare had technology working, close to the game's release, that would enable us to host our own servers to play the game on.

BioWare and EA had previously said the game would be accessible to those who owned it until it shuts down on January 12.

Time flies (like a Javelin suit): there are only 10 days left to play BioWare's ill-fated multiplayer game Anthem before the servers are switched off, presumably forever.
In my opinion, Anthem was a good IP that was worthy of a no man's sky or cyberpunk 2077 treatment.
To this day, their sub reddit is active and I was able to get into a game quickly a few weeks ago when I booted it up.
It is a shame EA and Bioware didn't want to give the game the overhaul it needed to turn it into a competent looter shooter.
I just finished this up a couple days ago. Although it's a bit repetitive and the story is meh, the game feels great to play. Even if you can only hop on the game for a couple hours before it shuts down, I think it's worth it.
2nd comment attempt (1st doesn’t appear & this may register as duplicate):
They can spend billions to buy or get bought but they can’t spend a fraction of that to fix or overhaul a game that could have been truly special, smh.
Some pretty marked downgrades here.
They should've been up front about all of it from the jump. It still looks very impressive, but it's silly that they could not just reveal it closer to what it is now. This comparison is using a PC build, which tells you right away that it's not like this was a high-end PC version at the reveal--they honestly just lied about it. And that's depressing.
Damn, that is a pretty noticeable downgrade. I understand not everything will be the same, but don't add things in a first trailer and completely take it out in the final game, that is just lying to us and what it is. Why were the amount of NPCs and the giant robot taken out? If you couldn't get them to work in the first place don't put them in the trailer at all.
thats not downgraded,its deception imo.
i could maybe understand if it was console that looked downgraded but maxed out pc being so different is wrong.
then all the dynamic stuff that was shown doesnt even happen is just wrong in so many ways.
glad i cancelled my preorder
it still looks great but thats not the point, its taken a huge hit in changes to the point its not same game shown almost
E3: Picks up legendary, it's "Jarra's Wrath", you see stats, weapon level, how it looks and you can equip it right here/it's already equipped and you can use it right away. Total time: 5 seconds
Retail: Picks up some unknown legendary, have to teleport into tower, wait for loading screen, get into forge, find it among the same-looking weapons, check stats, equip it, get out of forge, get into your javelin, get back into free play, wait for another loading screen and start using it. Total time: ~3-4 minutes
Such a simple thing as item pickup-and-equip, in a game, that centers around loot, takes 3+ minutes. Let that sink in.
I'm tired of people comparing trailers to the finished product. Every time a new game is released there are 10 comparison posts on N4G. I've always looked at trailers as a glimpse of the style and gameplay, not necessarily the final graphics.
