Jacob St-Amour from Link-Cable Writes: "During the latest Nintendo Direct, fans were treated to a surprise announcement of a demo of Nintendo’s upcoming Switch exclusive mech-shooter from Marvelous! – Daemon X Machina and its Prototype Missions. By offering players a quick playthrough as to what to expect from this bombastic shooter, the developers are also looking for feedback before the game’s summer release, but for the most part, this demo feels much closer to what we expect when it launches as the main issues from its E3 gameplay footage and framerate seems to be all but rectified. While there are still a few kinks to be worked out, Daemon X Machina is shaping up to be yet another heavy hitter for the Nintendo Switch in 2019."

Starting today, Daemon X Machina is free at Epic Games Store. The free game offers run until February 3 at 11 AM Eastern. Once you claim it, it’s yours to keep.

Daily Video Game writes: "Amazon has kicked off its Black Friday digital game sale for Nintendo Switch gamers, offering up to 75% off on various digital first-party and third-party titles for Switch right now, including Daemon X Machina, Monster Hunter Rise, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and a lot more!"
Marvelous Entertainment hosted a livestream to celebrate the second anniversary of Daemon X Machina, and there is hope for a sequel.
I would be down for that. They sabotaged the sales optional of the first came due to lack of advertising and attacking the few people online that tried to plug the game. Because of that I never saw a sequel in the cards.
While there have been many mecha games that came out in the past year, none have really been able to scratch the giant customizable robot itch like DxM can. Its not as good as Armored Core but it does do a decent job of filling in Armored Cores absence. I like the things this game brings but they really need to work on their content. After the story was over there were a handful of online missions that could be cleared in 3-4 days. The randomly generated dungeon was a nice idea but it should have been really expanded on more.
Liking the game but definately needs work. The dub is meh and the story and characters arent great based on the demo at least. And its kinda hard to tell what youre supposed to do in missions so work on the hud and hints on what to do I guess. Hud and controls are a mess and really need work especially the flight controls. Weapons feel like nerf guns, they need more feel and impact to them and you should be able to keep shooting even after reloading, it stops after reload so you have to repress the triggers. More ammo needed and ammo stations and such instead of strictly just enemy drops. And of course more polish and fluidity. A definate buy from me.
