Played the trial on EA Access, then deleted it. Its not bad, but overall I think loot shooters are a mundane waste of time so I would rather play Apex.

Played anthem for a few hours the other night. The beta wasn’t a good representation of what the game is. It was a pleasant surprise

I'd look at why it's flawed.

Loot shooters are not my thing. They are like a vanity fashion show. Everyone is grinding hard just to show off their new skins and weapons.

Is a soulless game in my opinion.

I hate to admit it, the core gameplay is fun. Flying the Javelin feel awesome. However, the story sucks. The homebase sucks, unlike the Citadel. The loading time is also unbearable.

First 2 hours in I was really enjoying it but now I'm 6 hours in and I'm finding it a slog to get through, the powers and flying around are really fun but Fort Tarsis is a complete bore which I realised when I had to spend 20 minutes walking around this desolate and weirdly muted area talking to a ton of dull characters and picking conversation options that don't matter.

And my biggest gripe is how unexciting the loot is, every weapon class has only one model between them, just variations of colours and even picking loot up in game is a dull affair as it just pops up "uncommon item" etc and you get a splash screen at the end with all the loot you have found there. And then you have the Forge which I don't know why you can't just go into it on the pause menu to swap gear out on the fly as you play.

The demo was massive red flag of things to come at launch. It sucks because this shows plenty of potential. It's becoming more and more evident that games are just getting to big and without the massive increase in the price tag (despite "deluxe" editions). We are essentially beta testing these ambitious games for the better part of a year before they come a complete coherent package. I am sitting these types of games out for at least year so the devs can tweak and add to the game. Coming into the game at a discount with the fixes a year later is really the only way to avoid the feeling you got burned or feel like they are milking you for cash.

Every game if flawed. What I'm curious about is rather EA will allow Respawn to quickly address any issues the fanbase has. This is something I love about Epic is regards to Fortnite. Epic is always throwing in new modes, items and are good about listening to feedback and making necessary adjustments. I think this is vital in the Battle Royale genre.

Doesn't hurt when something looks uncooked to give It more time In the oven, but EA can't have that now, can they.

Good thing I don't plan on buying this. I don't trust it one bit.

I was one of those who played the demo and was vehemently underwhelmed. I opted to sign up for a month of EA Access on PC for it and see how it panned out. A few things to note: (1) The game itself is essentially what you saw in the demo, but the missions do get more interesting mostly because the character development and the three different faction stories are pretty good. (2) Something about the dialogue I've found extremely well done. I think this is something BioWare continues to do very well. It has facilitated a lot of the story in such a way where you become very concerned for some of the characters and their personalities and differences really shine. (3) It's addicting - I have literally not stopped playing for the last 3 days except to sleep for a few hours. Reached max level, and now it's on to end-game Grind. In any event solid 8/10 perhaps even a 9/10 so long as they continue to release new worthy content.

Most of the problems are being fixed witha day 1 patch on the 22nd. This is why i dont like or approve of early access shit
