probably afraid for all the negative reviews and leaked their own game before it gets slammed ;P

Team_Litt2631d ago

Dumbest thing I've read in a while. You know these games are delivered to retail up to 2 weeks before they release right?

RainOfTerror2631d ago (Edited 2631d ago )

Lighten up man, it was meant as a joke..

It's obvious Microsoft planned this leak two weeks ago already, as you so astutely pointed out

*g*

S2Killinit2631d ago

They did quietly push the date for reviews to one day before release. Now they are releasing the game early too.

tontontam02631d ago

That's dumb, a more realistic reason is xbox gamers are so bored they are probably visiting the stores everyday asking for this game so the stores wanting to get the bulk of the profit leaked the games.

Securing buyers is the reason why stores leak games early.

King_Noctis2631d ago

Your statement is even dumber to be honest.

tontontam02631d ago (Edited 2631d ago )

I also thought it was dumb for the stores to leak games because I know it is possible that distributors would blacklist them. Until one day I asked why they break the release date. Leaking the game means their store would be able to sell more than other stores.

tontontam02631d ago

Lol I'm getting disagrees, I'm just stating what the store owner said haha.

I forgot xbox gamers don't care about these anymore gamepass is here none of them will buy physical games ever again, they will just wait for it to be released on gamepass.

Kiwi662631d ago (Edited 2631d ago )

You are getting disagrees because people don't agree with with you, its really that easy

tontontam02630d ago

"You are getting disagrees because people don't agree with with you, its really that easy."

Sorry I forgot xbox gamers can't accept facts.

Disagree with your first point but agree with the second one. This game will definitely get slammed

DillyDilly2631d ago

This happens all of the time & not just for Microsoft games

SPEAKxTHExTRUTH2631d ago

That tin foil hat you’re wearing would happen to to have a X, Square,Circle, and Triangle on the tag would it?

Where are the reviews for this game, i believe there was an article here about review embargo lifting at feb 11th?

Here it is:
https://n4g.com/news/223652...

I guess MS is not so confident about Crackdown 3 quality after all.

Concertoine2631d ago (Edited 2631d ago )

4 days in advance is actually not an unusual embargo. If anything its a little lengthy.

Red Dead 2’s lifted the day before release. KH3 was 2 days.

Gamingsince19812631d ago

The point is the embargo has now been changed to the 14th.

S2Killinit2631d ago (Edited 2631d ago )

They quietly pushed up the review date, then they released the game earlier than that date! lol thats confidence right there!

Gwiz2631d ago

Nobody finds it a coincidence it apparently was released early in their highest selling region?
Sure, how often do you see this happening in the US instead of example: Middle East?.

S2Killinit2631d ago (Edited 2631d ago )

Apparently they quietly moved the embargo date to one day before release.

rainslacker2630d ago

I'm curious how they ended up doing that. Embargos require a signed NDA contract before the game is released, and it would stipulate the date. The reviewers are under no obligation to honor MS requests to wait, and I'd imagine that not all of them would.

It all seemed pretty strange to me, because I've never heard of it happening before.

To be fair, there are also human made games that release and lack any fun at all either.

jznrpg16h ago

But all of the great games have been made by humans

One is by choice, the other is a feature.

Guild Wars 2 been playing for 14yrs, 1st beta. This is just one company I support, Arenanet and NCSoft, even though I torrent, there are a few PC companies I will buy from. "PlayStation’s Horizon MMO spin-off, Horizon Steel Frontiers." I feel this will be good, NCSoft is a good developer/publisher.
