Nintendo fans are hungry for a Nintendo Direct right now. You know that, we know that, and we're pretty sure Nintendo knows that, but there's still no sign of a presentation in our near future. So what's going on?

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Yh I'm starting to have Withdrawal symptoms now. Seriously Nintendo make with the Direct!!!
Still waiting for the next Direct
If your stance haven’t changed then announce a new Direct already. Even MS has a gaming show before you this year (Inside Xbox is happening tomorrow), so what are you waiting for Nintendo?
I think what we're seeing is a company that's kind of used up their collateral over the last 2 years and right now they are a little "threadbare" with what they are ready to show us. My guess would be they were originally going to use January to show off Metroid Prime 4, but instead we got the video announcing it's delay. Just within the last 2 years we have gotten Mario, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Zelda, Splatoon, Pokémon, Xenoblade, Mario Party, Mario Tennis, etc. Plus we just saw Animal Crossing and Luigis Mansion 3 in the last direct along with getting a new trailer for Yoshi's Crafted World. Really the only things I can think of that they could show us that we haven't seen are Bayonetta 3 and the new Pokémon game.
There is a bizarre lack of information on Fire Emblem: Three Houses, when it's (supposedly) releasing within the next 4+ months.
