And what’s disappointing is that Nintendo hardcores condone their practices. It’s been over 12 years since trophies/achievements started and their excuse for not implementing them is that they “don’t need to incentivize players.” However that’s contradictory since most of their games have in-game trophies. They simply don’t want to pay to implement the system.

@Lore - nobody condones it, but achievements / trophies is at the bottom of my wish list. I want things that will improve the system. Having digital carrots to chase too often is a devs way of squeezing life out of their games.

Sure they are cool, but they are certainly not need to haves.

Change is always on their business plan that’s why they invented 90% of gaming as it is today d-pads shoulder buttons rumbles motion controls touchscreens. As for improvement no they never revise their consoles with bigger... smaller but better versions.
I agree they are take it or leave it in some senses but otherwise they’d be Microsoft doing a 180 all Gen and not releasing what they wanted to which in Nintendo’s case is brilliant. If Nintendo just listened to gamers who want the same old same old all the time we be on NES 7-8 and Mario 15 zzzz
