CYBERPUNK 2077 Developer Interview: Time to Develop, Map Size, FPS View Decision

Still in the making at CD Projekt Red's studios in Poland, Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the biggest sensations of the E3 2018 following its 50-minute gameplay demo that stunned many of the Los Angeles-based journalists. A video that will have been revealed two months later to the general public, on the sidelines of the gamescom 2018, increasing the hype a few extra notches even in Europe. But since the demo drop, there has not been any new information. We had the opportunity to meet the developers a few months ago, a certain Maciej Pietras, who holds the position of lead cinematic animator in the studio. The opportunity to ask him questions to highlight certain aspects of the game, including development time, size of the map, choice of the subjective view, detail on different weapons and even inspiration.

Please continue to take your time CDPR, quality over quantity. IDK if people are still boycotting this game over the FirstPersonProspective, but I for one am hoping for eventual VR support.

i was upset that it was first person, as i wanted thrid person, but after watching the video they showed i am hooked and on board to buy it day one.. totally impressed me, i just wish never watched the video because the wait will be unberable bwahahahha.....

Despite being an older technique, I always thought pre rendered backgrounds were better for many series rather than rendered objects because they looked so clean and specific, without repeat of the same objects scattered throughout the game world.
