From PlayStation Universe: "Code Vein made its debut in May 2017 and intrigued with it clearly trying to be like Dark Souls, yet diversify itself with its Japanese style. However, since that trailer, the game has been pushed back multiple times. A firm release date of September 27, 2018, was given last June. One month later Bandai Namco delayed the game into 2019. Since the day of that delay, the game’s official Twitter account has not tweeted once. So what on earth is going on with Code Vein?"

Azfar from NoobFeed writes: Code Vein is a game that fans of complex RPGs, who also enjoy anime stories and customization, will appreciate. It doesn't replace Dark Souls, but it doesn't have to; it's a unique work of art in its own right.

Soulslikes are punishingly difficult but amongst the most compelling games. Power Up Gaming goes through the top ten Soulslikes you're likely not playing.
Demon's Souls isn't Soulslike. It's the original Souls game. WTF? And Elden Ring?
Another Crab's Treasure simply is not.
All the journos claiming things are "Soulslike" simply don't know what that word means.
Nioh 1+2 imo are the best souls clone. Love the melee combat and ki system, really hoping team ninja doesn't abandon the IP and continue with a new title, hell just give us your take on the western fantasy setting for a new nioh game.
Didn't they delay it because of early mixed feedback?
Aaah forgot about this game
They have been tweeting fairly recently: New Year's Eve and Day for instance.
It'll release when it's ready. I'm not overly concerned. Once God Eater 3 is released I expect the push for Code Vein marketing will pick up again.
They delayed it to polish it further which I'm completely ok with. I want this game to be good and become a success. I'm very much looking forward to it but in no hurry. Release it when ready.
