According to Gamestop and a leaked Circuit City flier, the rumored 60GB HDD Live starter pack is really real and will be releasing next week.
The 60GB HDD Live pack includes a 60GB hard drive, a 3 month subscription to Xbox Live and ethernet cable all for $99. Quite the steep price, but it works in terms of the console pricing between an Xbox 360 Arcade and Xbox 360 Pro. But we're not justifying the price and 100% agree that it's still way expensive.

$99 would buy you a 320 GB HDD in a notebook PC or a PS3. Im sure you could get 500GB + for less then 100 big 1's in a desktop pc too. I want to upgrade my 20GB 360's HDD but I would rather spend $99 on games.
IMO, MS is trying to rob folks blind after already selling faulty hardware, and charging you/us to play your games online... and they are doing this in broad daylight.....
Hmmm, let's compare. PSN is free, a 14ft ethernet cable is $7 and I can get a 320GB HDD for the PS3 for $67.
Not THAT bad of a deal. It's everything a Core user needs in one little package (will save lots of confusion I reckon).
Still, it should be $60 MAX.
Well i got a 250GB HDD and free psn for $75 lol
stuff like this is y i hate ignorant ppl and parents....they'll think this is a great deal.....idiots.
