Epic Games had as good a year in 2018 as any company in tech. Fortnite became the world’s most popular game, growing the company’s valuation to $15 billion but it has helped the company pile up cash, too.

pretty sure PUBG made a boat load of money this year too. Not 3 billion, but I doubt they are hurting for cash.

They are both owned by the same Chinese company. It’s kind of sad because China doesn’t allow foreign companies including console makers to compete in a free market in China. So, we have to make due with whatever Chinese government allows while Chinese companies make bank in the rest of the world.

Both PUBG and Fortnite have been baned in China now.
It will be interesting to see what that does for profits for Tencent and Epic.
