PC gaming lul. Imagine missing out on RD2, Gow and Spiderman to play AC Odyssey or League of Legends xD

In 2018 there were a couple of good PC exclusives:

Pathfinder Kingmaker
Battletech
Rust
Frostpunk
Total War game

Many indie exclusives

The only one with decent steam reviews is Frostpunk. Couldn't get into it. Seems like a low-budget Cities Skylines. The rest is early/access unplayable incomplete unoptimized poop.

RDR2 will come to PC it's just a question of when.

90% of games are multiplatform and the PC gets the best looking and best performing versions of them. I can't count the number of times I've rented a multiplatform game for my PS4 and found that it couldn't even maintain 30fps resulting in regular bouts of stutter. I know that's a big part of why you guys hype exclusives so much-- they are the only games that run decently on your precious console. And by decently I mean still generally stuck at 30fps but at least they tend to stick to that target most of the time.

And beyond multiplats.. exclusives are much fewer in number. It amounts to just a couple good games a year on any platform. The PS4 had a particularly good year for exclusives and it still only amounted to 2 exclusives that I wanted and bought for my PS4.

And PC gets its own exclusives too. As well as sharing exclusives with the Xbox. So, no, the PC isn't hurting for games by any stretch of the imagination.

Yep. Multiplats do look better on PC. But how many manage to score even 85 on metacritic and have no season passes, deluxe/ultimate editions, skins and other bull crap? And no, I don't know about others but I hype them because exclusives are never cash grabs. They are almost always guaranteed to be as ambitious as possible without prioritizing profits. Look at all the top games on metacritic. ALL of them are either indies or released on no more than 2 platforms. Anyway you have to pay +800 more dollars to get better graphics and bruteforce the game because all devs prioritize consoles. On top of that none of them are anywhere near PS exclusives anyway so what's the point?

PC exclusives? LOL. Maybe some free to play/early access garbage for people with low standards. PC hasn't had a triple A exclusive since the first Crysis/Witcher. Unless you count the hilarious fails that were Dawn of War 3 and Civ 6.

Yeah, Microsoft might get me to finally upgrade my PC in 2020 when next gen consoles launch and Nvidia won't risk losing customers. Halo 6 and Gears 5 need to both get 90+ on metacritic along with Obsidian's new game though.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9219d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit19d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing19d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9218d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
