
During 2018's Game Awards, a new trailer for Devil May Cry 5 showcased the game's cameo system. Capcom has revealed further details about the new system and how people will be able to use it to play co-op in the upcoming game.

I've kinda wanted this ever since my brother and I figured out the Shadow form trick on DMC3 to allow a second player play as they shadow, itching too play this one.. truly.
“If you play Devil May Cry 5 online, when another character runs into whomever you're controlling, you'll be meeting another player.”
That sounds similar to the way Resident Evil 6 had times where there’d be moments of 4 player co-op interspersed throughout the 3 campaigns.
