gaming peaked somewhere in the 90s. since then the indudstry was slowly dying. today we are at the rock bottom. a zombie like living dead state. the games never looked better but are rotting from the inside.

No, I don’t believe so. I mean, speaking first on graphics, I never expected games to look as incredible as Uncharted 4, HZD, God of War, RDR2, Detroit and the list goes all. They all look incredible in their own right. But there’s differences, like, Uncharted 4 has animations/facial that are still best in class, along with character models, and does water better than for example, HZD. While HZD has the most impressive lighting system i’ve ever seen in a game, and the colors just pop in a such a way, it’s just so mesmerizing, God of War’s world not only looks as good as Uncharted 4’s (I’d say better) but the characters are equally as impressive as Uncharted’s, and than there’s the lifelike photo realistic character models in Detroit (Luther looks so darn lifelike it’s ridiculous, as do most of the models, some better than others. it’s all very very impressive. There will always be areas to improve when it comes to graphics, and I look forward to seeing developers leave me in disbelief because I thought they couldn’t go any further. I don’t know how much further is possible, but we shall see.

What I wanna see is real changes to how A.I reacts in game, to the player, how the world’s can become more alive, now destruction can become a bigger deal, and really change up how you play in this world, how you can use it to your advantage.

Not peaked more like developers vision to create deep SP experiences are lacking alot, they are running out of ideas or just getting to lazy or just aiming for the easy money with no effort at all like those battle royale games, only a few developers are trying always to thrive in how to enrich the gamers experience and by those I mean Playstation Exclusive developers, some may say I may be exaggerating but the moment this talented Exclusive developers stop doing what they are doing and no one else at least try the same, that moment the industry will start to crumble cause it will flooded with mediocre games.

It certainly didn't peak visually as this will never stop, but the area where it's so young is the story part of games. Games like Mass Effect, the Arkham games, Last of Us and many more push gaming to be more than it's been before by a mile. Even though I'm a gamer, I was willing to say games were not art and I think it's no longer acceptable to say. Full blown stories, performance capture, that's the area I can't wait the next gen to push forward even more.

In a word.. no. Graphics have room for improvement, true photo realism being the ultimate goal. Lip sync issues still abound. The ability to have a true A.I. running in games, to facilitate a true living world, where almost any action/reaction is possible, rather than programmers trying to think about every scenario/outcome. The ability for thousands of online gamers to play in the same single world, at the same time.. no different servers, no player caps. Allowing players to mod that world how they want it, to make games more personal. So, there is still a long way to go then.

This gen? Certainly but if you think gaming as a whole peaked then I don't think that's possible each era of gaming produces new developers, new fans and most importantly new games. As long as there is passion for this industry/hobby gaming will never "peak" it will simply continue to exist along other forms of entertainment.

Wuchang is great. Nine Sols didn’t have a physical copy so I never played it but I’ve heard good things so I will check it out. I stopped playing sports games many years ago when before the card dlc’s or whatever they’re called.
