While the Nintendo Switch is certainly a hit, and a radical departure from the clear failure of the Wii U, fans are starting to see signs that Nintendo is once again dealing with an old problem specific to the company in the last few console races.

Cole Young almost made the jump from movie newcomer to game canon in Mortal Kombat 1, but a last-minute time crunch shut it down.

A rare first-party Nintendo games sale has just gone live on Amazon with around a dozen of the company's titles discounted.

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.
“This year, both Sony and Microsoft also have at least one solid holiday exclusive each in the form of PS4’s Spider-Man and Xbox One’s Forza Horizon 4.”
Forza Horizon 4? Lmao. As great as that game is, it’s not going to help push hardware numbers that other major exclusives like Spider-Man and Super Smash Bros Ultimate will do this season.
pretty sure Pokemon and Smash will sell more this holiday season than anything else releasing.. just sayin'
"Smash is always a staple of any Nintendo generation, though it will likely not outsell last year’s Mario Odyssey or Breath of the Wild."
Actually, Smash has the possibility of outselling both of those. Melee outsold Sunshine, Windwaker, and Twilight Princess (Gamecube release). Brawl outsold Galaxy 1, 2, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword. Smash Wii U outsold Super Mario 3D Land, WW HD, TP HD, and BotW (Wii U release), and Smash 3DS outsold all the 3DS Zelda releases.
I literally bought my Smash Bros Nintendo Switch today.
