I thought the engine was updated :-/

The dated rough graphics should be expected. Isn’t Fallout 76 built off of Fallout 4 assets? Fallout 4 was all around dated looking with poor textures,weak models, bad animation,etc when it released 3 years ago.

That's honestly the same for all BGS games, none of them have ever been graphical showcases and barely function without mods to help them.

I can imagine Fallout 100 being released and they're still using this same fecking engine.

I have absolutely no interest in this game at all. I think something went wrong with star field and Bethesda just took assets from fallout 4 and threw this game together. I don’t know one single fallout fan that wanted this half ass mmo. I swear it amazes me how out of touch companies can be sometimes with what their consumers want. Removing human npcs as quest givers was such a dumb decision. The “create your own stories,” concept is dumb. I just don’t understand how this is anything other than a cash grab aimed at hardcore fallout fans who would buy anything with the name fallout attached to it. I can’t wait to see how Todd Howard stands up there in his little dumb leather jacket and tries to defend the decision to make this cheap fallout cash grab. I love fallout 3 and even 4, but this game is not going to be good. I’d rather play Skyrim on the one millionth platform it’s now available on. At least that cash grab has a good game behind it.

as bethesda died a noble death after fallout 3 i am not in the slightest surprised that this is going to be a wellmarketed ToaS.

I decided I'm getting this game now. Last straw. Won't even try the Beta. It does look like garbage. F-them. They should also keep there mouth SHUT unless they're telling the truth.

I think Fallout 4 on PS Pro looks pretty great actually (think it is downsampled a lot so IQ is amazing) This for some reason looks way worse it is like comparing Skyrim with Elderscrolls Online,.. which looks like shit.

Um the last one didn't exactly blow my mind with its visuals.

Honestly, I have not liked any of the Fallout games. The game play sucks.

what did you people expect? it looks like fallout 4 which didnt look good at all ... and im sure it only took hits to fidelity given they have to provide an experience for 30 plus players online while not having massive chugs to performance which fallout games are already in general known for and suffer from more frequently than just about any game i can actively think of ...

That's something to think about, but:
1. Does it really matter?
2. A question is what will be the performance. Fallout 4 is quite a GPU killer in some scenes and for no apparent reason. It's obviously not optimized. I like games that run simply
