psxextreme.com writes: With so many fantastic games hitting store shelves for the PlayStation 3 between October and November, it's easy to get distracted by the blockbusters. But certain titles may go undeservedly ignored if we're not careful, which is why we're turning your attention to Valkyria Chronicles.
We at PSXE have never really classified this Japanese strategy/RPG as a potential gem, and now we may have to admit our mistake. Early feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, including the GamePlayer review, where it actually says Valkyria Chronicles is "almost worth buying a PS3 for." They give it an 8.5, and we can add even more critical goodness to that: the Official PlayStation Magazine handed out a glowing 4.5/5 review, RPGFan gave it an 8.8, and Euragamer gave it an 8.0. For a title that typically doesn't sit as well with North American and European critics - seemingly designed more for Japanese audiences - this is excellent news, especially for fans of the niche genre. Remember, this is a PS3 exclusive, and the only other option available is Eternal Sonata, which is a fine game from what we hear, but it was out on the Xbox 360 last year. Hence, many have already had the opportunity to play it.

SEGA / Atlus Holiday 2023 Switch eShop sale live featuring lowest prices ever for Valkyria Chronicles, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, and more.

From the kingdom building in Ni no Kuni 2 to defeating shadows in Persona 4 Golden, here are the best JRPGs on PC.
While the Valkyria Chronicles franchise has been somewhat dormant for four years, it certainly hasn't been forgotten.
Sega is great for relegating its characters to cameos in other games. Heaven forbid they announced Valkyria Chronicles 5 or remaster VC 2 & 3.
I think it is a sleeper hit. I was actually surprise how fun the demo was, and will be purchasing the final game in December
I'll pick you in 31 october, i loved the demo
Don't like Shooters, but this. Don't like RPGS, then buy Resistance 2.
edit: idk about fallout. I don't have that much time sadly :( for RPGs of any sort.
Really liked the game.... felt kinda cool to play an SRPG with beautiful graphics.
Now if only we could get those voices into japanese. I'll be getting this game.
