Yeah, for everyone who enjoys 1 or 2 good games every 2-3 years. Everything released since launch has been a port or re-release which is a huge disappointment especially considering the laughable online and lack of virtual console. Can't wait for the next great Switch exclusive in 2019 then the next one in 2021!

I don't agree because as a 27 year old yes I like mine. But the thing is. My love for it strictly comes from nostalgic love for SNES and n64 days of Nintendo. I got to play Zelda which was a disappointment for me honestly. Mario odyssey which I liked, but didn't love. Mario kart because I love kart racers. Donkey long when not overpriced. And honestly, was hoping for virtual console so I could get games like mickeys speedway USA, Mario 64, diddy long racing etc on the go. But sadly, doesn't dsmmseem like that's happening. I've only gotten Mario kart, MO, Zelda, Sonic mania (I own on ps4 2 times one physical, one digital, pc, and physical on switch) and xenoblade. Other than that. It just sits now. I'm still happy since I can still beat people in MK every so often. But most adults will think it's cool for a minute then be like it's okay at most

Nope not for me Im an actual adult who if Im away from home Im working or doing some else or driving the switch is for kids and young adults.

It does was it is supposed to do. I play Ninty 1st party games on it. I use my Pros or XB1Xs for their 1st party, 3rd party, hardcore, etc games. The switch could not be my stand alone console.

It's like I have always said, I like the idea of the Switch, but it's under powered, its become a port machine for last gens games and it is still lacking a ton of current gen games that we are getting for PC, Xbox and PS4. As a home console that you are going to have plugged into the tv, it's just not worth it. The competition (PC, Xbox and PS4) blows it out of the water in that area. The selection of games, resolution and overall look of games on the Switch just doesn't compare to the competition. As a handheld gaming machine, it's the best around, but that still doesn't mean it's for everyone. I'm not somebody that games when they are out. If I am out, then it's never to play games. Even if I am travelling I couldn't game because of I suffer with motion sickness.

I think the only way something like the Switch could interest me is if it had a lot more exclusives that appeal to me and if it was more powerful, but it has none of these things. When it comes to the Nintendo Switch, I don't feel like I am missing out on anything.

This is an opinion, not a fact. In almost 2019, all games should at least run at 720-1080p 60 in handheld mode and i believe, if it did more 3rd partys would flock to the system. If one disagrees ALL games for the switch should be at the very least 720p 60, that individual most likely is fine with whatever Nintendo gives them and that is good/great enough. Surely in 2019 forward one would think this would be a golden standard.

This does not go without saying, Thank you Nintendo for bringing indies, staple 1st partys, and a move in the right direction with having third party support on your console. But, when these third partys are running below 720, below 30 fps, releasing weeks/months/years after initial release, and cost just as much as the title did day 1, these practices are only hurting the platform instead of putting the best foot forward. This console should at least see a pricedrop this holiday and if not it only goes to prove my point that its not for everyone. Furthermore the fact, that 90% of the biggest 3rd party titles are complety skipping the switch. If that isnt a reason enough to why this console isnt for "everyone" as the article describes.

Here is a list of third partys to prove my point that either arent announced yet for the switch or skipping it completely...

Destiny 1/2, Overwatch, Madden series, Tomb Raider series (newer), Dark Souls 2/3, GTA 5, RDR 2, Assasins Creed series, FF15 main game, Kingdom Hearts 3, Far Cry series, Witcher 3, Monster Hunter World, Call of Duty series, Battlefield/Battlefront series to include Star Wars games, Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 2 (remake), Batman Arkam series, Watch Dogs series, Evil Within series, Devil May Cry 5, Fall out 4, Fallout 77, Bioshock series, Prey, Marvel Vs Capcom series, Soul Caliber 6, Darksiders 3, Titanfall series, Hitman series, Spyro series, Just Cause 3, Anthem, Metro series, The Division series, Sakiros Die twice, Biomutant, ect and countless others not on this list.

One could definately state, "meh them games dont appeal to me anyhow" but its an understatement to say this system is for everyone when 99% of these games on this list will most likely never see the light of day on the console or even give the consumer the opportunity to make that decision for themselves.

It's good for Nintendo games, as is every other Nintendo console. As for multi-platform titles it is the weaker of the 3. Nintendo will always be a secondary console where I get a Zelda or Mario fix but will never be my primary or a console I'd own over the others.

Not for people who love AAA third party, online gaming or big AAA Single player games. Also Not for people that don't care about portable games.

I was a Nintendo fanboy since the N64, the Switch cured my fanboyism. It's absolute garbage.

What's good for you isn't good for me. I like to move forward with technology not backwards I look to experience new and innovative games, not a bunch of ports. So I dont knock anybody for loving the switch, it's just not for me.

The PS4 is awesome, the Switch is awesome. Having both is fantastic.

I have a Switch, but I admit that my PS4 is still my go to. There's a distinct lack of good sales and mid range games on the Switch, but I do enjoy the Nintendo exclusives.

Still, no harm in liking both. It's basically best of both worlds. Stop picking fights.

How is it best for everyone? You
Miss out on a lot of games with Switch Only. Get a PS and a Switch and miss out only on Forza . It’s game range is limited to mostly indies , Japanese games and Zelda Mario stuff, which are good games but it not enough to keep me busy until the next release. PS is actually cheaper to buy right now with a much bigger library for everyone. I like my Switch but it’s lacking in several areas well documented already

Nintendo Switch is really the best console to buy someone now days!!

I'd like to get one at some point. VC would make me consider getting one sooner. I have more than I need with my PS4 at the moment though, and really just want a Switch for a few exclusives, and have a feeling it will collect dust when I'm done with those games, so I haven't bought one yet.

Well, lack of storage, lack of chat party, lack of proper online assets, lack of a lot of last gen standard such as web, Netflix, Crunchyroll, anything relate to it is damn expensive and games almost full price all the time, etc.

Its a console that can't be neither a tablet or full console + exclusives right now we have like 5 or 6 mario games which is a lot.

Not to mention that games are late to Switch. Its one of most weid platforms that ever released a lot of cons and disadvantages. Not bad but not great by any means barely better than Vita

The Switch is for everyone, who has enough money and is willing to pay 50-60 bucks for old games.
Nintendo keeps its games premium-priced, while Sony's best games are available for a fraction of that price within a year orso.

I'm sure Zelda BotW is an absolutely amazing game, but to experience the complete game (main game and all DLC), you'll spend 75-80 bucks, at least. You can buy multiple great games including their DLC for PS4/XBO. Right now, here in Holland, there's a 3 for 50 euro sale, including titles like Fallout 4 GOTY, Dark Souls 3 GOTY, etc etc. So if I have 50-60 euro to spend on my gaming needs, would I spend it on -1- great Nintendo game, or pick up multiple great games for my PS4/XBO!?

Switch is great for everyone who has enough money to burn. For gamers who are a bit more conservative about what they spend their money on, the better option would be getting a PS4 or even an XBO.

I want to get a switch for my wife, but it's definitely not for me. I stopped liking games like Mario and Zelda when I was around 12 or so, maybe even before. I'm not too much into pixel games (played 1000s upon 1000s of hours of them when I was younger) and don't feel the need to game when I leave the house.
