Twinfinite writes "Despite their age, several old PC games can still give your graphics card a run for its money, and more importantly, stand shoulder to shoulder with many current gen console titles."

The Crysis series looks great even to this day.

annoyedgamer2797d ago (Edited 2797d ago )

Alot of people fail to realize that graphics these days look good because the world interactivity has been turned off for consoles. Crysis 1 still has a more interactive world than most games out today, same for Far Cry 2.

I could write an essay on how this goes but I will let this video speak for me.

It's amazing how good Crysis 1 still looks, it just turned 10 years old but still looks like it came out fairly recently.

Crysis was an extremely demanding game for the time. I remember my overclocked 8800GTX was relegated to 30fps.

I tried to play it on a laptop with an 8400gs M chip. RIP.

Every game on this list fits except BioShock. The game looked great for its time, but it absolutely cannot "compete" with current gen graphics. The aesthetic/art style holds up for sure, but not the graphics themselves.

To save you the clicks:

The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings
Crysis 3
Metro Last Light
BioShock
Tomb Raider

The actor who portrayed Zoltan Chivay in The Witcher series of games has died

Alexander Morton, the Scottish actor probably best known for starring in British comedy drama Monarch of the Glen - but known to me for being the hilariously foul-mouthed dwarf Zoltan Chivay in The Witcher 2 and The Witcher 3 - has died aged 81.

I had no idea that Bad Company 2 was still running, and only now that I know, I want to jump on! 😥

I was able to find games in the Vietnam dlc on ps3 the last week. There were articles on here about the server closure when it was announced in April

BF1943 is the only online MP game that I was genuinely interested in. Been playing since launch 14 years ago. Hate that I couldn't put in as much time to play as I'd hoped for during the final week.

I got really into 43 when I bought Bf3, and preferred it. Everything that I disliked or found annoying about Bf3, wasn't an issue in 43. Too bad they never bothered releasing it on PS4 or PC.

Dead Space 2...... I wasn't even aware that had multiplayer. Nevermind that it was apparently one of their best multiplayers!

Once people stop buying micros, these companies close the doors.

Dead Space 2 multiplayer had been hanging on for years - I'd boot my PS3 up to see some familiar names in lobbies. This will definitely be missed!
