Dan from Button Bash Gamers writes: "Fairune is a series I’ve had my eye on since it cropped up on the 3DS eShop back in 2014. I heard great things about it, from its lovingly-made pixel artwork to the gameplay being very reminiscent of the original Legend of Zelda games. But for whatever reason I just kept putting it off, even as a sequel came out two years later boasting even more goodness. Now Skipmore and Circle Entertainment’s charming Action RPG is available in one neat bundle in the Fairune Collection and this time I wasn’t going to let it pass me by."

This week’s Famitsu review scores are in.
--Detroit: Become Human (PS4) – 9/10/10/9 [38/40]
--Fairune Collection (Switch) – 6/7/7/7 [27/40]
--Life is Strange: Before the Storm (PS4) – 8/8/8/7 [31/40]
--No Heroes Here (PS4, Switch) – 8/8/8/7 [31/40]
--Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido (Switch, 3DS) – 8/8/8/8 [32/40]
--The Swords of Ditto (PS4) – 8/7/7/8 [30/40]
--Wizard of Legend (PS4, Switch) – 7/8/7/7 [29/40]
I mean, detroit bh is by the best in the genre by far. How does it not have a higher score than it does...
Man, even Japan is praising this game, 38/40 for a western game is very rare coming from Famitsu

Chasers and nightmares are getting stronger and stronger in Western charts, as well as the Fairune Collection in Japan everyone; meanwhile, the wizards are doing a great job at fighting against the usual evergreens…yep,i t’s rankings time again! So, without further ado, let’s take a look at the Top 30s in UK, Japan and USA for the period between May 8th to May 22nd, as reported by "The eShop Chartology".

Fairune Collection is a deliciously big slice of brain-teasing RPG fun with a sprinkle of shmup action on top. None of the games will require a huge amount of time to complete, solving many of its puzzles feels truly rewarding and both graphics and sound will take you back to a simpler time in this industry. If you were a fan of the original outings, you will certainly like this ‘upgrade’ but if you are venturing into the realm of Fairune for the first time, heads up: you might have just discovered the perfect lazy summer afternoon game of the year.
