James Martin of GameGrin reviews War Tech Fighters, writing: "Giant Gundam-style mechs have seem a bit of a downturn in recent times. Sure, we had Titanfall and Titanfall 2, but they weren’t as popular as many would have expected. It’s a style that has never really won me over, whereas those who enjoy a bit of robot on robot action swear by Armored Core. For me, this kind of game seems to lend itself too easily to repetitive gameplay, which is exactly where War Tech Fighters falls down."
