EA is too big to fail, it’s obvious and has been for years. They can do whatever they want if it’s legal. The studios they eat and crap out are done completely legal but it doesn’t make it right. EA is a machine you can’t change with empty platitudes. A few narrated pieces from games media isn’t going change global investment. They are there to make stupid money, plain and simple. They aren’t evil they are actually laughably predictable corporation wise.

I’ll never understand why any indie studio or big name would jump over to the EA camp. But until loot boxing is illegal you have no standing with these arguments for an American company in American law. Protesting has already done what it could do, awareness. People are aware but do they care? I prefer people try to change law than ignore it and be obnoxious.

Trying to culture shame EA through back channels has only made their games worse while they stay the same. It’s a terrible thing they have going on. Good consumers know what EA is, other consumers will learn what EA is like we all did. It’s inevitable and it will recycle.

I haven't bought a EA game new in years. But let's not act naive when modes like ultimate teams generate 800 million do we really think these publishers will simply not have them? There are a lot of casual gamers who are not like us and they buy the same handful of yearly releases and could careless about reviews

All the hate battfront 2 generated yet it still sold 8-9 million now think aboit that number. Most games don't get anywhere near that but in case of BF2 it was considered a failure because of the name value or star wars. Until vast majority of gamers speak with their wallets not much will change

Games journos need to start scoring there games to reflect this then in their reviews.
If a game uses loot boxes and microtransactions in order to progress then the game has been designed to be a joyless grind until you get your wallet out, therefore it should be scored no higher than a 2/10.

In other news I still see trading card games for sale all over the place. Since they say you can't sell the items it makes it not gambling then TCG would be the epitome of gambling if that is the barrier between them.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
