VGChartz's Lee Mehr: "While not carrying the same heft it enjoyed long ago, last year was one of the adventure genre's most commercially-successful years in this century. A Telltale-esque adventure eclipsing 3 million sales in three months would be the talk of the town were it not for another adventure game hurdling over 10 million sales in two. Though not all finalists reached those heights, each did share a greater amount of spotlight compared to similar titles within their respective sub-genres.
Past any sales thresholds and popularity contests, 2025 also deserves credit for its creativity; the last time our entire shortlist consisted exclusively of new IPs was for Best Adventure Game of 2020. An impressive year for the genre, with even greater potential ahead."

Bandai Namco announced today that its popular flight simulator-lite Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown has passed another sales milestone.

"Nothing is off the table right now."
So does that mean that HDR10 might phase out?
Any news when/if Dolby Vision support for 4K Blu-Rays will be added?
I am in Australia where the internet infrastructure is well.... horrible in a word and having HDR10 and Dolby Vision for Netflix is GREAT from Microsoft, my TV (LG OLED) already supports Dolby Vision native via the Netflix app (This is to take nothing away from Microsoft and their stellar support of newer media features.)
I am a Playstation guy (meaning I play most my multiplats on there, where my friends are yada yada yada but have a ONE X as it is a GREAT media device for high end 4K at a decent price and also allowed me to access the XBOX library of games.
So long story short (I do not comment much and when I do I feel I have 'defend' my comment as to not be called a fanboy or such....) Is there any news on 4K Blu-Ray Dolby Vision support incoming?
damnit.. wish Sony would support these features. My LG OLED supports Dolby Vision, love watching Netflix shows that offer it.
I think HDR10 & Dolby Vision will coexist until one of the standards becomes more adopted mainstream wise like Blu-Ray & HD-DVD I doubt with the naked eye you could tell them apart but because Sony put Blu-Ray in the PS3 & Microsoft stuck with DVD instead of using HD-DVD the Blu-Ray won the disc storage format war last gen.
