Devil May Cry 5 could finally break into legendary status and become more than just an action game. The series has just a few reoccurring problems that need to be addressed if we’re to receive the mythical “complete package”.

With the release of the Devil May Cry series on Netflix, we take a moment to look back on this almost 20-year-old series and let you know the best of the best.
"Devil May Cry 2 isn’t trash. It’s just misunderstood by a fanbase that doesn’t like change."
This and putting DMC 2 number 2 is all I need to ignore this ranking. DMC2 is absolute trash and it's clear this person doesn't understand exactly why.

Today Capcom announced its financial results for the first nine months of the fiscal year 2019, which ended on December 31.
Niiiiiice. Now use some of that profit to make Zack and Wiki 2 for Switch. Get a remake of the first one first atleast.

"In Episode 120 of the Game Under Podcast, Tom Towers is joined by Aarny to discuss what many believe is the greatest beat up action characters ever, Devil May Cry 3."
“With no one to act as a foil, we got an exaggerated comedic recklessness as seen in Devil May Cry 4.”
Nero acted as the foil to Dante in DMC4 in both personality, goals, and fighting styles.
“DMC 5 needs characters complex enough to move a serious action story forward, this is likely Dante’s final outing so let’s give him a great send-off.”
You’re really snubbing the character development that Dante, Trish, Lucia, Lady & Nero go through within their respective games.
“The original is a true classic, but the story is quite minimal. Levels are sometimes laughably short, and bosses are recycled to a ridiculous degree.”
That doesn’t mean DMC1 was an unfinished game.
“No more “Angel May Cry”, the series needs to tap into its horror heritage.”
The original DMC was made from the leftovers of the original RE4. The series can effectively move away from that horror especially since Resident Evil already has that covered.
“We still haven’t seen Devil May Cry reach its full potential.”
DMC3 says otherwise.
*facepalm* wow I legit can't believe how badly a site can miss the point of the dmc series, this isn't worth a click folks trust me.
