Only thing I’m worried about is my wallet. Spider man, shadow of tomb raider, Astro bot, Forza Horizon, Darksiders 3, Planet Alpha maybe.

Well he should be, because PS1 Spidey sales is so close to PS1 Lara sales.

+ Tomb Raider is milking the origin more than enough and nobody ask for trilogy of Lara without two handed pistols. On other hand, Spider Man is pure fan service with new story far from teasing and movies. He should be worry like a lot.

You have Spider man at the start of September and RDR2 at the end of October with FIFA, AC Odyssey and Battlefield in between so it going to be tough. Wonder why they couldn't push to release in August.

I really think some of these games coming out September/October/Nov should really release in January....Remember Titanfall 2? Great game that was released in a bad time slot??? Devs still don't realize that the average age of a gamer is around 30!!! People can and will purchase at all times of the year! What we don't have is TIME to play all these games at release!!!

The Tomb Raider games are pretty good but out of all the games coming out it will be the last one I buy most and it will be when it’s at a discount though I will buy it new. If they added some of the old school charm , dual wielding and somersault dodging and massive tombs with a lot of puzzles I would buy it much sooner. DQ11 ,SpiderMan and RDR2 I have all preordered long ago. I will grab Spyro to play with my children . No room for TR until after the year is over

I’m not either, I’ll be picking up tomb raider. Comic Super hero stuff never been my thing. However from what I understand is that Spider-Man will be a pretty huge titan to go against.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is a graphical downgrade compared to Rise of the tomb raider. Come on, if u are trying to be better than Uncharted at least get your story right. Mayans are from Mexico and central America not south America.

I'm worried about Lara, just in general.

Maybe it's because of the increase in lead female protagonists or maybe it's because Tomb Raider keeps getting the short end during every release but still...worried. A game like TOMB RAIDER should be up there with Mario, but it keeps getting pushed to silly dates by the company.

I just finished both shadow of war and arkham knight and it’s giving me second thoughts about spider-man. It’s going to be great but I don’t know if I can take another game with the same combat system so soon.
I might actually get TR first as I really enjoyed the two others.

I love TombRaider and Spiderman. However, my pick isTombRaider first as action adventure and TombRaiding is my bag.

Spiderman in September, along with polishing off Yakuza Kiwami 2 from August, RDR in Oct along with AC:Odyssey and BF5 over November and Just Cause in December. Need to find space for COD and Fallout 76. There are so many games coming out this autumn and there are still games I have yet to play from last year so no need to get all the games on Day One. I can wait a few months for, say, Tomb Raider, and by the time I am ready the price will have dropped.

I'm buying Spiderman first & foremost & I'll buy everything else on Black Friday.

I cannot stand this developer....Dan Gallagher used his job there to cozy up with MS and get a job, they outsource their PS4 development...who does that? Release a game on PS4 with 80 + million and outsource? PS4 is easy to develop for unlike PS3 was. Not getting my money with their cheap uncharted knockoffs.

The NEW Tomb raiders are check box AAA design by the numbers with poor combat encounters and awful stories. They even added useless collectithon crap in the last one cause reasons.

He should. Spiderman is very popular and even more now with the Marvel movies. I even think Spiderman can have a broader audience since Tomb Raider is more for a mature audience.

Sometimes you got to wonder if they see this a pissing contest. Spidey will rule on PS, RDR2 and AC will battle it out.Around xmas all three or four major releases will sell millions.Its just a shame Sony will be able to claim marketing rights for RDR2, despite the game looking better on Xbox One X.

I'm getting one of these two games. Coincidentally, the game I'm getting will have a console with a shiny red finish and white Spider-Man logo on it. I just recently played RotTR; I have no interest in the new game. I can't say it enough.

Yeah well he should be. Dont get me wrong I love the new TR games but Spiderman is an 800lb gorilla hopped up on roids and TR is John Cena in this case.

This year's game season is going to kill my wallet. I want like 3 times as many games as last year.

He should be given that it's releasing in such a crowded period with heavy hitters like Spider-Man, Red Dead Redemption 2, Battlefield V, COD and Assasin's Creed Odyssey.

I mean, I want to play the new Tomb Raider, I've definitely enjoyed the most recent games...that being said I'll be picking up Spider-Man as soon as it releases and I'll probably wait for Tomb Raider to go on sale because those games almost always get deep sales pretty quickly.

They should, but on top of it with the type of release (timed exclusive) they had with Rise, at least to me it became a series that I'm not in a hurry to play. I'll get around to this one but at a certain price or when nothing else is going on.

Spider-Man and Dragon Quest XI alone will make my wallet cry in September. It would be best if SE postpones TR's release until late November.

i don't think spider man will take sales away from tomb raider i mean spiderman is gonna be incredible (hopefully) but i think RDR2 and such are gonna be the real killers being on multiple platforms.

Different games for different folks. I for one is buying both. And also, Spider-Man is exclusive to PS4 unlike SOTR which is releasing in all 3. There is nothing much to worry.

This year's Tomb Raider looks uninspired. If I were the developers, I'd be concerned about the competition, and while I'm at it, look up the definition of 'humility.'

Edit: not jan, that's the end of the big stretch of games with kh3 and re2 lol. Feb or march is the best spot for this game.

I'm not that interested in Tomb Raider, but that has nothing to do with its quality (I'm sure it will be absolutely great), and it has nothing to do with the other games, like Spider-Man, coming out.

It has to do with the fact that the first 2 games are still waiting for me in my backlog, having only played maybe one-third of the first game, and nothing yet of the 2nd.

So yeah, even when I have an extreme urge to play Tomb Raider, I'll be covered with those games I still have.

He should be. I bought both prequels day 1 but plan to hold off for a sale on this one. I like them and theyre fun but theres other games i want even more around that time frame. I will get it eventually. I was hoping this rebooted series was going to have more references to the older games. Duel wielding pistols n all that

My dear is that this game will be overshadowed by spider Man game like the Ryse of Tom Raider (the last game) was overshadowed by Fallout 4. It was a shame because these Tomb Raider games are really good and fun to play. They should have anticipated the launch of the game to August, this month is very weak with new games.

I plan to eventually play Tomb Raider and Spiderman.

Watching this trailer side by side with TLoU2 gameplay should send chills to any dev that makes games similar.

TLoU2 makes Tomb Raider look last gen, IMO.

They're always "not worried," but end up cutting the price from $60 to $40 asap. Love the Tomb Raider series though.
