Pro Evolution Soccer's Licensing Strategy Might Work - Here's Why

"With a dwindling set of AAA licences available year-on-year, Konami were forced to change tack. Turkish Süper Lig,Russian Premier Liga, SPL and full partnerships with the Old Firm of Celtic and Rangers are not to be underestimated - nor is the sharp upturn in player/team numbers." - Elite Gamer

Didn't realize pro evo was still a thing tbh!

PrimeVinister2761d ago

Cruel but honestly not surprising.

Didn't realize pro evo was still going to be honest!

RedDevils2761d ago

You should play the games is much better than fifa

ChristianReggieWait2760d ago

I can't stand Football Red, bit I'm glad it's not just about FIFA

Telford912761d ago

Delighted to see Celtic as one of the licenced teams. Pity that they added rangers as well

PrimeVinister2761d ago

Ya need both for a proper derby though..

LoveSpuds2760d ago

You might argue that for most of the footballing community, including either is a pointless exercise. The Scottish Prem and the teams in it are a joke for the majority of the footballing world and these teams wouldnt even register as a blip on the radar for most.

smolinsk2761d ago

Pes has and still is the best raw football game on computer ever, only sensible soccer comes close.

LoveSpuds2760d ago

Oh god how I miss Sensi, nothing has come close in my humble opinion.

icerob2760d ago

I remember loving Sensi too.. I am sure if we played it today we would smile and turn it off almost immediately.

LoveSpuds2760d ago

I played it very recently and still had a good time however, you are correct, like most games from that era, time hasn't been kind. It was really fascinating going over the teams and reminiscing about old players and teams....I forgot Phil Babb even existed as a Liverpool fan 🤣🤣

Dfooster2761d ago

It's a shame the kids all go for cosmetics rather than gameplay because it's truly a fantastic game and hands down beats fifa where it should count in the gameplay department

RedDevils2761d ago

agreed. I been playing fifa for almost 10 years straight. I dropped it like a bomb since last season when I start playing Pes again.

Gamesbeat caught up with Blackley to extract some wisdom about Microsoft’s journey in games, what he thinks Sharma should do, and where gaming can go next. "I expect that the new CEO, Asha Sharma, her job is going to be as a palliative care doctor who slides Xbox gently into the night."

LOL

Anyway, let's wait and see maybe Mia Khalifa will surprise us.

I’m on the fence about her. I’ll give her chance, but if she is there to finish things off. Well what can you do.

After seeing the article of the possible sunsetting of Xbox as said by Seamus Blackley I believe, I went onto X because of a post I saw. It was a gif of Vegeta powering up, the poster commented as Vegeta yelling “Don’t take my fiercest competitor away from me.” Standing there in his blue Sayian/Freiza corps outfit. So it got me to thinking, so let me ask a question to N4G.

If Vegeta is PlayStation, who would Xbox and Nintendo be in the Dragon Ball universe?

Who would be Master Roshi?

I have my own opinion of course, I just want to see what others think.

And nothing of value will be gained, because Ubisoft will only Ubisoft themselves in the end.
