and i'm concerned over developers that put out crappy titles for easy money because they know people will buy it and it's easy money for them and say it's for casual and hardcore gamers.

^^^ Agree he should get back to focusing on his own games so that maybe the wii may finaly get sumthing good again...

I have much respect to Miyamoto! but,

Miyamoto, I'm concerned you're gonna resort too casual of games.

Give a new original IP to add to the amazing classics you have created.

Agreed, I have much respect for the man. I grew up playing both Nintendo and Sega, but this recent trend of putting out casual games to appeal to the mainstream has me soured on Nintendo. I prefer the games coming on the PS3 and 360 personally. Whether they're violent or not depends on the game. LittleBigPlantet is coming and looks to be one of the most original and accessible games in ages and it's not violent. I'm looking forward to Valkyria Chronicles on PS3. Again, it's not really violent; no more than any JRPG at least. I'm also looking forward to Star Ocean 4 so again, it's not really violent. Violence doesn't sell a game. I'm looking at you Ninja Gaiden 2. Innovation and originality as well as good gameplay sell games. Violence can just sometimes be a plus.

I agree on what he says, violence is over-represented now days, making the other, much more important imo, elements suffer.

But I'm not quite convinced he sincerely means it, and not just trying to sell the overly casual wii games. Most of his great games, like the marios and zeldas are violent by nature, even tho they are great for other reasons.

im more concered hes only concentrating on the casuals. what happened to mario....(i hate the stupid plumber, but i like the games... :/ )

Devs give the people what they want and what sells...
"Some" of us don't like our games "kiddy"...for those who do, great.
