I'll put money down that this Halo is going to be designed similar to Anthem/Destiny. You don't put "Infinite" in the title for no reason.

I'm so glad they were afforded additional dev time to create a brand new engine for halo and its future. It will surely pay off in the long run.

It does seem a little too late for the xbox one . Don't expect to see it in 2019 or 2020. AAA HALO games are just not made within 2 years around a new engine.
It will at best be a launch title for XBOX 2 and at the later time (three months later) be available on the XBOX one (it otherwise would not be a xbox2 console seller)
We should unfortunatly forget the XBOX one and look forward to the xbox2 (which I will probably buy..looking at the latest MS activity..but if the XBOX2 also will not have VR the xbox 2 is going to be a BIG NO for me)

If halo 5 is anything to go by I’d guess forgettable but hopefully 343 get their shit together and make a true halo game instead of chasing trends, halo 4 was safe it stuck to the formula and added their own touches and quality of life changes the story was ok but it gets some leniency because it was the start of the new trilogy so I could forgive some stupid things but halo 5 was supposed to be us in the thick of it but it just felt like the story was written in a week when they realised their Halo X Advanced Warfare multiplayer game needed a story to help market the game... I really hope it’s good halo needs to be revitalised.

Hopefully it's a return to halo form for the campaign. Very disappointed in 343s single player efforts so far (MP has been fantastic though).

A game in a series that's popularity continues to decline. Far cry from the era of Halo 3 is the biggest event in gaming. Halo isn't going to help MS catch up with Switch and PS4 sales.

I think halo infinite is gonna be halo with a little bit of Destiny sprinkled in. I think we will see a conventional multiplayer including req packs but campaign wise I bet we see strike like missions trying to add infinite replay value. That's just the feeling I get. I'm not even saying its a bad thing the Destiny formula could be cool if done right. I guess we will see

I don't think anyone is really all that surprised. 10 years is a lofty length of time for most studios, and it's like like Infinite held the same draw as something like GTA or similar games that managed it.

Lack of identity and chasing something for Halo that isn't Halo could only mean failure in the end.

Now they have time to finish the split screen mode.Another broken promise. LOL

Microsoft is the equivalent of keeping a gun pointed at your foot and constantly pulling the trigger.

Halo: CE to Halo Reach was only 8 years.

Halo has now been a mediocre-to-bad franchise for longer than Bungie had it for, which is crazy. It's same with Forza and Gears of War; once Xbox's top-quality franchises reduced to run-of-the-mill AAA games that fade into obscurity the moment they're released (or in Forza's case, the main franchise is DOA).

This is what happens when everyone involved is a weasel. Eventually the whole thing comes crashing down.

Oh boy can’t wait to hear his side, maybe it will be a hallmark movie.

Unfortunately, we have to wait till next year to find out what the whole story is .

Xbox just keeping digging there own grave a little deeper and a little longer , just F nuts,just sad man, I never forget the first time playing my first online game was on og xbox and it was Ghost recon, I never forget that experience for the first time talk to another person around the world coordinating attack I was hooked and blown away at the same time, I had from Nintendo Nes, Sega genesies, Sega Saturn to PS1,2,xbox,xbox360 then went to pc like
