Truly Free to Play
WTMG's Kyle Nicol: "“Free to play”, words that usually are concerning to players and rightfully so. The overuse of heavy micro-transactions that hugely impact progression as well as the sheer cost to actually play the game despite the label, can be off-putting to most. Warframe however, is different."
"Digital Extremes’ free sci-fi epic Warframe, a zeitgeist of online gaming, is now available for Nintendo Switch™ 2." - Digital Extremes.

TNS: Follie is finally here and you'll have to grease the elbows a bit if you want her for free. Here's how to get Follie in Warframe.
"Digital Extremes blended two major announcements with careful brush strokes on Devstream 193: Warframe will be available for Nintendo Switch 2 (and all platforms) alongside its next major update, The Shadowgrapher, for free on Wednesday, March 25." - Digital Extremes.
Honestly I only played it once when it first launched and it wasn't really for me, but I have heard so many great things about how its evolved since launch that I'm going to give it another go!
Sounds awesome
I tried it a long time ago and couldn't get into it. It sounds like they've made some changes for the better though.
I was part of a clan years ago. It was one of the first Xbox One games I played. I spent about $10 on the game but don't regret it as you got what you wanted. There was no surprises. I remember they added space combat that had the game feeling like Rogue Squadron which was a huge plus for me. I stopped playing some time after that to catch up on other games. I hear its even better now with all the constant updates. Might get back into it one of these days.
I'm always happy when Warframe gets press outside of the regulars, but I feel it never gets the widespread recognition it deserves. It really outdoes so many full retail games, all for free. And the studio is in touch with their community all the time, with a handful of live streams every single week. It's amazing what this game came from almost 6 years ago.
