PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' integrated custom matches might requiring forking over some extra cash. Is this a mistake? Should this feature be free?

From GI.biz: "Krafton, the Korea-based publisher behind PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, released its Q3 financial results alongside news on how it's expanding its collection of studios.
The company reported that it saw revenues of $328.5 million and net profits of $171.5 million, the latter marking a year-on-year improvement of 27%.
Krafton also announced it plans to acquire Neon Giant, the developer behind The Ascent, and open a new studio in Canada."

The latest PUBG update transforms the weapon meta in Krafton’s battle royale game, bringing changes to vehicles and Deston to make winning even harder

PUBG, the battle royale game from publisher Krafton, will be banned in Afghanistan in 90 days as the Taliban says it is a waste of time and too violent
Them making the game exclusive to one console for this long wasn't smart but I guess they like losing big share of their market to FN
Bluehole "but...but we had deadmau5.... :( why is this happening?"
Me: You didnt launch on ps unfortunately and main reason: Fornite. Additional reason: You did that bs lawsuit thing
Bluehole should have created a second team with all the cash they got and started from the ground up developing a better version with the latest unreal engine version instead of continuing to patch a poorly coded outdated mod while cramming as much paid content into it as possible.
This version could have been F2P allowing them to add things such as season or battle passes and loot boxes without the player base feeling cheated.
PUBG creators got lazy and greedy, they're doing the opposite of Fortnite and that's why they're failing, not updating the game often enough, not optimizing enough, they haven't ensured the game's QoL like Fortnite's team has.
PUBG runs like dodoo on the Xbox One X, H1Z1 for Ps4 Pro is much smoother.. PUBG's framrate is still in the shitter for X1X when thinga get hectic. Feels like you're sliding on ice instead of actually running too.
