That is extremely subjective... I never played KOTOR for the romance or Jade Empire. I would say the Romance in Biorware games was always the least interesting part of the story. It added relatively little to anything.
I say stay away from it and you won't have people complaining about how they weren't able to romance this/that specific person.
Yeah I know, people will still find something to complain about. Like not having romance options at all...
