Far as I'm aware, The Fool challenge is merely for completion's sake, much like the hunter's journal.
If you're not going for that 100% then you can skip that final round of tourney torture.XD

But yeah, practice is really the only way you'll breeze through it; know thy enemy and all that. If you can sort their attack patterns out and know when it's safe to move or strike, you'll be golden.

Although I do suggest having the Weaver charm.
Those three little spider minions might not do much damage individually, but over time and working together, they do make boss encounters easier.
If you're skillful enough at dodging, you could just let them do all the hard work, actually.
It'd take forever on harder foes and wouldn't work against flying ones, but if you can focus on surviving instead of dealing damage, then it might just get you through the final boss of that final challenge a LOT easier than if you were the only one shaving away its health.
Go into that fight with full Soul and the Focus charm to make healing fast and easy, and you might be able to cheese out a win alongside your spider buddies.
