E3 Has Come and Gone
E3 has come to a conclusion. As a result, the participants have released an enormous amount of information about their upcoming products for the purposes of building up hype, informing interested individuals, and more besides. For the most part, the information that came out of E3 was not unexpected, though there were still surprises that came up from time to time.
For example, a lot of the upcoming products that were revealed at E3 have been known for some time. In some cases, these upcoming products have had trailers, meaning that the latest announcements are intended to keep their names fresh in the minds of their potential customers. One excellent example is Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, which has had footage plus multiple trailers released in the past months.
Sony confirms Ghost of Yōtei surpassed Ghost of Tsushima sales during a comparable launch period, boosting studio business performance.
I'm glad to see that, after all the incel controversy regarding the lead becoming a female character, this game went on to outsell the original. Looks like folks don't mind playing as a woman after all, especially when she's a badass like Atsu. It ain't so bad, incels... you even get to see her butt when upgrading your health in the springs! Don't tell me you preferred seeing Jin's? lol
Excellent game, my game of the year. Its open world is my favorite of any of the open worlds of the games I've played this gen.
I really enjoyed how most of the side stuff really hit at different angles from the main theme of the story itself. Really hit on different aspects of family, honor, and revenge.
It wasn't just profitable for Sony, it was also profitable for the grifters who made a living out of generating rage bait. I'm sure they couldn't be happier with the game's success... they can use the game's success to generate further bait.

Now those same grifters will make a bunch of excuse videos as to why they were wrong and not take accountability for actually BEING wrong. They win either way because they don't care about truth or facts, only how much adsense revenue they can grab up. So they'll say whatever they have to as long as their audience wants to hear it.
I mean, they would make money off of it as a success or failure. It's either a scam that people fell for and here's why or an example of go woke go broke.
But overall will it sell better that GoT? Why do they have to keep reminding us about the game's sales? It just wasn't as good as GoT.
I mean yes. GOT released when everyone was at home gaming more during covid. To a much higher console install base. And it was still outsold by yotei. And given this gen is likely going to last longer and less high profile games get released because of longer development times then yes. Absolutely it'll sell more. Also i preferred it to GOT.
They "have to" because it was disclosed in an earnings call.
You really think that the company's Chief Financial Officer shouldn't talk about the financials of the company in an earnings call?
The earnings calls/reports are for shareholders. They want to tell them as much good news as possible. Pretty much just normal corporate reporting here.

The trailers didn’t do justice. This game looks phenomenal and having a ray tracing mode at 60fps on PS5 Pro is a treat. Much better than stutter engine 5.
Yep, glad most playstation studios have their own in-house engines so they don't have to rely on working with unreal engine 5.
Both look good but i don't see a major visual leap. At least not from those videos.
Hm nope. Absolutely not worth giving my 70$ IMO. Especially not for another girl boss revenge story. I swear man they don't know what else to write for women when they put them in these more grounded roles/games.

Just preordered the game myself. I didn't purchase GoT but I played it when it hit the PS+ catalogue and loved it. Yotei definitely gets my money.
Me too, when I got my PS5 I played it off PS+, one of my all time favorites. Now I have the Pro.
I got the physical version off of PlayStation Direct and they said it would come on launch day or up to three days before. Definitely won’t be sad to have it before launch lol.

yeah, they're gonna overprice it so only 0.5% of the playerbase can buy it. The spiderman packs cost like 650 for 12 packs or something, on top of spiderman not fitting into mtg at all. Most of current PS characters don't fit either.
It was only "predictable" because so much stuff got leaked beforehand.
